Sturdy So Far
I don't know if this was the purpose of this cable but it fits perfectly into the wheel groves of my old gym set, the last braided steel the gym came with began to break. This cable is shielded and is moving smoothly so far, I haven't pressure tested but its braided galvanized steel, I saw someone else on Amazon give a calculation of the estimated strength, but I cannot say for certain.

Very well made although would have been nice if they had added a thimble ( I added them myself)
Only thing I did was to add a thimble on each end which I think makes a much cleaner, tidier cable but length was perfect and these are beautifully crimped. I've used this cable dozens of times since I got it for some exercise equipment that needed a cable extension.

Not a hit, but not a total miss either.
It's the length that I ordered, but was bit a disappointed in the diameter of the cable. I guess it all depends upon what you're trying to lock up, but I was expecting something more substantial. Lesson learned: you get what you pay for.

Perfect Size to Tether a Kayak or Canoe
We needed a SS cable to tether our kayaks on the floating dock. This cable is the perfect size and because we are on salt water it had to be stainless steel. Works well and is small enough to wrap through the handles of the boat.

Cable strength 480 lbs, loop strength < 3 lbs
A chain is only as strong as its weakest link. In this case, that would be the loop. I bought two of them to use for a washtub bass. I didn’t even get to play it at all, as both of them broke the instant I pulled the line taut. I sure hope no one is expecting these loops to be of any use at all.
