This L'Oreal Paris Magic Root Rescue is super-handy to have during this crazy Corona Virus time. I wanted something I could use at home while the salons were closed. Decided to give this a try, as I am a fan of other L'Oreal products. I like that there is a tamper-proof seal on both openings of the box, top and bottom. This little bottle actually does my whole head of roots, which I was surprised about, since my hair is thick. I do keep it on 15 - 20 minutes for better gray coverage and it works well. I used it with the brush attachment to get it on the roots well. Now I don't want to go back to the salon and pay much more. This does not last quite as long as the salon dye, so I may alternate once I start feeling like I want to go out again for hair care. I am so glad I came across this product. I will keep using it at least every other time and save some money!

Tried this for the very first time. Convenient with the dye and peroxide. Just unscrew the top bottle and pour it into the bottom bottle, shake with bottle top screwed on, then remove and screw on the applicator. I didn’t like the application brush it came with as it was really hard to use. It is all they give you to apply the dye. I couldn’t get the dye out and if I squeezed the bottle too hard it came out in a blob. I kind of got the hang of it after a while, and of course by then it was empty. I will say the coverage is good, but since I have really resistant white hair (like Mrs. Claus white)...lol I chose to leave it in longer and I didn’t need to as it got a little darker than I wanted. Will try it again and just not leave it in as long. I tried Clairol’s root touch and even though they use a separate brush for application the coverage and color wasn’t as good. I use a #6 color, and even though I was a little dark (my own fault for not following directions) the shade matched good and a week later color still looks good. It didn’t with Clairol's. Faded really fast just with the first two shampoos.

I do home coloring all the time, but the development time for my full-coverage product is pretty lengthy. This touch-up kit gives me the perfect amount to cover my roots and the development time is just 10 minutes. I use the medium blonde color and its an excellent match for my regular medium blonde color from a different brand. The dye looks alarmingly reddish at about the 9 minute mark, but when I rinse I get the promised blonde. From now on I'm doing full coloring every OTHER month and using this product in between.

I don't really want to say anything negative about this product, because the first two times I used it, the color matched perfectly. The solution (med golden brown) was the color of a creamsicle (lt orange) & I was hesitant on using it, but I had no choice. Much to my surprise, it matched my hair color to a tee. I have medium brown hair with vague red tones. No more grey roots & lasted more than 4 weeks!!! Wow, I thought I had found the perfect product. However, my 3rd purchase, same shade, was different. 😠The solution was a blah brown with no hint of red at all. Very disappointing! Didn't match my color, nor did it cover my grey roots. So, I thought that maybe it was just a bad batch, so I reordered. Unfortunately, same thing. Now I suspect that they changed the formula, & in my opinion, not for the better. I don't want to go any darker & will not be ordering again. So sad. Guess I'll go back to the spray root cover ups after I dye my hair with Schwarzkopt!

I love that this came with the gloves and everything I needed. I watched a few you tubes videos as I was quite nervous to do this on my own. The videos instruct you to pat the color in with you finger tip, which is exactly what my stylist does. I was far from precise! I purchased #6. My hair is fairly dark, but I have random highlights. I'm so happy. Seriously. My stylist won't be, because I'm going to space my color appointments farther apart. I think I should have left it in maybe a little longer, but I am NOT complaining. The little gray that does show through looks more like highlights, so it's great. Next time I will take before and afters. Few things in life make me so happy!!! This was easy and effective. I urge you to watch a couple of you tube videos...as well as L'oreal...the you tubers show you how to customize it and to not stress too much! Enjoy and save some hard earned money!

I used this product for the first time. Stuck at home during Covid-19 and my roots were really bad. I could not stand looking at my hair during this crisis. It just made me feel worse. This was easy to mix, use and apply. I left it on for 20 minutes. I used the number 6 light brown. I have never colored my hair this was the first time doing so. Now I think when I can go back to the beauty parlor I won’t be going as often. After 3 weeks my roots come in. So instead of going once a month to get my hair colored I’ll go every 7 weeks or so. Thanks to L’Oréal my sprits have been lifted even though I’m very sad the world has lost so many people during this awful pandemic.

I’m a natural blonde but have my hair colored about every 10 weeks to cover grays and add some lowlights. Between being 50 and going through a divorce, the grays seem to be coming more quickly! I was hesitant to try this for fear of measuring up my salon color. I just went for it and was very happy with the results. It blends perfectly with my color and the grays are kept at bay until my next appointment. I used it for the second time today and am again happy with the results. Way cheaper than going in to get a touch up between appointments. I am playing to do this from now on. Since I’m only coloring roots and near my temple, I only use about half the bottle. I may experiment with only mixing half next time.
