Bought it for my sportsman which I use to plow, plow has an electric angler so I really drain the battery when I use it. On days the garage gets below freezing I keep it plugged in 24/7 with no issues. It’s been 0 degrees in there the last 3 days and it still has a full charge. It worked so well that I decided to use the additional connections on my mower that had a battery I was positive I’d have to replace soon. It brought it completely back to life.

Works great, original not compatible with AGM batteries

I was looking for a smart charger for my AGM battery for use with my portable emergency radio communications and found this unit. It is designed for AGM battery charging which requires a different charging profile as compared to typical automotive chargers used for "wet" (flooded) lead acid batteries. If you use these old style chargers, they will undercharge an AGM battery potentially shortening its life. The BatteryMINDer on the other hand is a smart charger with a processor to control charging, testing and maintenance modes, all automatically. I leave it connected full-time and watch it periodically test and top charge my battery. Its desulfation mode is particularly helpful for improved longevity. I know the battery will perform optimally when I need to use the radio. UPDATE 2/23/16: Have been using charger for over a year on the now 4+ year old battery. It has done a great job maintaining the available capacity of this aging battery. I expect to exceed the battery's rated lifespan and still get reliable use when needed. UPDATE 12/30/2022: This battery maintainer is still going strong, and also is the same (now nearly 10 year old) battery! I will admit that I have not done a load test on this old battery, but it is still powering the radio equipment quite well. I'm still sold on good desulfation type battery chargers.

This charger is the second of this model I own as it on the approved list from Odyssey. I use it to keep the Odyssey AGM battery in an old classic car properly maintained and healthy. Based on experience with this brand of battery and another one of these charges, I expect the batter to last at least double or triple longer than a standard lead acid battery and trickle charger.

I bought this specifically for an Odyssey AGM motorcycle battery. It appears to be working exactly as it should. This is a major upgrade to the 3A Battery Tender that was on there. As clearly stated, this tender is for "special purpose, high end AGM batteries only! If this is not what you have, this is not the tender you want.

Good battery charger it worked out was expected plugged right in to my motorcycle and started reviving my battery

On the list of approved chargers for odyssey. Works great maintaining the odyssey pc925 small battery kit in my car over winter or just sitting not being driven often. Should have got one sooner to maintain other toys as well. Would have saved many batteries from an early death.

I have this on a battery that runs an inverter, which runs a sump pump. So there is a light load on the battery due to the inverter sitting idle. It has performed well for approximately one year now. I also have another one that is a 2/4/8 amp model for general charging of various other batteries, not on a constant basis though. I like them both very well. It may be a little more expensive but I like the lights on them, so you can tell what the status is at a glance.

The charging process it goes through is very effective.
