Wow!!! Worked exactly as advertised as soon as I snapped the adapter into my 2015 M4 and snapped my iPhone 6 into it. Apps like Pandora and I Heart Radio just didn't work using the flexible iPhone/USB cable in my console. Had to continuously connect and disconnect the cable to try to get these apps to work but they never did stay connected very long. Immediately my apps showed up on the screen and they are working like they should. I was prepared to maybe "hit or miss" to make this work for me or at worst it would be a very expensive charger. Instead, it worked great right out of the gate. Excellent addition to my M4, lack of good internet radio was the only flaw on this car as I was spoiled by my 2011 335is which didn't rely on the phone for internet radio...now it is perfect!

This device does most of what it's supposed to and what the description says it would. The only issue is that the fan doesn't come on so my phone gets hot overtime.There are a couple of practical drawbacks though. I have a BMW 428i Convertible so my experience may be slightly different from those with other or larger cars:1. Because of the placement of my armrest, I have to reach somewhat behind me to get my phone in place and to use it2. For whatever reason, BMW didn't add a Play/Pause feature so if I need to pause a song or video and start it again, I have to do it on the phone. See #1 for the drawbacks of this.3. I have to restart all of the apps if I turn the car off (say I stop to get gas or go into a store). Again, see #1 for the inconvenience of this.4. USB works just as well. I actually prefer it because it's easier to maneuver/use my phone.5. Having this device actually allows me to charge 2 phones at once - which I love. I can also connect to both and switch between the two for music and apps.

Works good in BMW for iPhone 6...only problem is I upgraded to an iPhone 10 and it's too big.If you know anyone that needs one I will sell this one for half the price it cost me.

My phone ceased to communicate with the outside world when connected, but the vendor was super cool about returning it.

Excellent product. No need for external charging and concern about charger slipping out of socket in car. Very convenient.
