Use this to make chopped sandwiches for the football team. This provided excellent ease of use and allow us to make 20 sandwiches very quickly.

It comes apart for easy cleaning, but the plastic feels cheap like it will be prone to breaking with a lot of use or if it is dropped. The this connection bar between the two pieces makes me worry about it.The handle is bulky, but probably necessary due to the wide spacing of the blades.That being said, this tool is sharp. It works really well for chopping my salads up. But, I have plastic bowls and it is rough on the plastic.I'd give it 5 stars, but the hinge worries me.

FAST CHOPPING of nuts or salad fixins i. I'm loving using this with my big old wooden bowl. Much faster chopping than with a knife & cutting board. No spills. Especially useful for Nuts, to keep them from flying off, & great for tomatoes & other juicy fruits to contain juices. Also chops avocados quickly for guacamole.

Wow- am I impressed with this. Had my doubts at $9.99. I have looked at all of the salad choppers online and read all the reviews and just couldn't rationalize the purchase- when they all say difficult to clean- who wants that? Then I found this- Look at the photos- It's simple to do all one handed- Just squeeze a little tab a top, and easily open the blades to wash and clean or get out anything that accumulates or such. Then it just closes back up- simple. The blades are crazy sharp and come with easy to slip on and off covers- and I even use it just to cut up a bowl of lettuce instead of wrestling it with a knife. Used it in plastic, metal and ceramic bowls- no problem- I don't go crazy, rough, hard chopping - no need. Hoping it lasts a while with the plastic handle and hinge lasts a while, but at this price and its simplicity to clean- I'll take that chance. I highly recommend if you are looking for a chopper- I use it for salads. See Photos

It's ok doesn't work like I thought. Not shape enough to me

This type of device generally shows that this "Chopper" is used for salads and herbs. I used it to cut cheddar cheese and was delighted. It is very sharp, so be careful. But having the ability to cut cheese using both hands was more comfortable than using a knife where I used one hand to do the cutting and the other hand usually had to help cutting near the end of the blade. Having the ability to use both blades instead of one was helpful to insure the piece sizes to be uniform.

These may chopping my very large daily salad into bite-size pieces so much easier

Love this for chopped salads! The best.

Good product, great price. Works as expected. Was easy to clean, as mentioned by others. But in the end, I discovered I prefer just my greens finely chopped (not everything), so now I just use kitchen scissors to quickly cut up the greens. This also saves me from having to clean the chopper and a chopping bowl every day. So I put the chopper away, but I'm keeping it in case I do ever need it in the future.

Chops salad well, haven't tried anything harder.
