Precision tools for a good price
Bought these to use for holding round tube metal on my welding table. So much better than trying to set pieces on a flat surface and having them try to roll around before I can get stuff tacked up. They are very precision ground and sturdy.

As advertised
This is a ground set, accurate within .0005.

Well made but larger than expected.
They are good, except they are a bit larger than I need for my 4 inch vise.

Can't say I'm knocked out
Despite what the other reviews say, these are not carefully machined gauge blocks with big Vs added. None of the surfaces are close matches; there's no possibility that these blocks were ground together. They are, nevertheless, economical and sturdy V blocks, good for supporting cylindrical stock. Don't expect anything more.

No wooden case.. shipped in straight carboard box. Really? "Precision" surfaces?
No brand on items, no matching serial number, no wooden padded case.. no number means you will mix them up with others in your shop... Therefore no way to guarantee "matched set" ... Maybe matched at the factory only.. but it is a very long jolting trip from china. Maybe they are "precision" at 10 tenths? .01 inch? Good for production, would not depend on them at all for inspection.. and I would try to avoid same "brand" granite V blocks at the steep price, lack of brand and serial number stamping one is likely to get. I have bought other "Shars" brand products and the product case they come in (the case is part of the product) is way better. It actually pampers the test item. Items do come protected in some cosmoline style rust preventative paper, so they at least don't arrived full flash rust condition. If I had to improve this product, it would be in the following order. 1. Add a wooden foam padded Case, it doesn't matter if cheaply made, it trumps carboard. And it would protect seller from reimbursing damaged products...wise investment. 2. Laser or stamped branding somewhere on BOTH the product and Case. If number 2. is not possible,.. I would drop the "brand" from the seller advertising...and just state "brandless" or "unbranded generic" vs getting complaints of false or misleading advertising.
