It is not working neither as phone nor as gaming device
I have got this as single device for playing and for daily usage as phone, and sadly it does not fit either cases.Disclaimer: I do not play MOBA nor FPS on a phone, I have a computer for that, so my review is based on usage as main daily phone for email, calls and internet surfing, and as gaming device for steam streaming, android action games and for emulators. Also I bought this to avoid the issues of the phone+BT controller; having integrated controls I expect to see integration that is flawless, which is not (more on this later)As media device, the screen is great, loud volume and good performances, but for that, I have my main phone, so nothing that my old phone (a samsung S9) could not doAs phone, it is totally impractical. The speaker and mic are in a good place but you have the controls in the way; maybe Moqi should go for a slide phone design to hide the controls when in phone mode, because as is, you can't really make a long phone call with buttons and joysstick stuck in your face.Controls are also in the way when you try to type; making the device wider and as such, harder to use with your thumbs. Then if you try to put the phone in your pocket; you will have the issue that the controls, once again, are in the way; and between pushing buttons while in the pocket, or having joysticks caught in your pocket, you will soon realize that it won't work as well as a slim bar phone or a clamshell design. As gaming device, the CPU is great, but the software and integration is not that great. Tried some android games and the auto-profiler got it wrong most of the time (again, no pubg, no fortnite, no call of duty); out of the games tried (racing games, action games, puzzle games), few required some tweakings, while most of them didn't work at all, due to the poor software included for mapping on screen controls.Moving to emulators, things went even worst. Tried dolphin, retroarch and mame4all, on top of other standalone emulators and the result was often inconsistency with the controls. In some cases like retroarch, some controls were recognized but since the select and start are not buttons and there is no L2R2L3R3, most combinations won't work. If you try to remove the overlay from the screen, the controls does not work anymore. This is the same frustrating issue found with regular phones with BT controllers; they work to an extent but require a lot of fiddling; and that's why I purchased the Moqi I7S: to not have to fiddle because the controls are already integrated, so the expectation was to have controls already mapped as if it was a Xinput or XBOX controller, but sadly that's not the case. Even trying to register buttons didn't work; because retroarch nor other emulators would see the buttons; so I had to use the overlay buttons , which means to keep the buttons overlay obstructing your game all the time. And the gamepad is fundamentally broken. Pushing left or right most of the time end up pushing up or down too; I did search online a bit for a solution, and the only way to fix that is to open up the device, completely, and make a replacement pad... Not planning to spend 400 dollars to do DIY like if it was a raspberry pi handheld, sorry. Especially when a 50-70 bucks cheap Chinese handheld like the RG350 is able to deliver a great gamepad that is also usable. So i ended up with a device that is not usable as phone (unless you have a man purse and like to feel a joystick on your face), and as gaming device is great on the paper, but then you have to deal with the same issues you have with a regular bar phone plus a BT controller, so I don't see the value there, when my S9 is as powerful as this device, and with a BT controller I face the same issues I face with this; with the difference that the S9 is a fully fledged and usable phone. Also not sure if this is a concern but the ROM on the phone, is not standard Android; being customized by Moqi with whatever they want to put in. I don't feel very comfortable having this device hooked up to my network to be honest; or even less, having it with a SIM card and a GPS. While with a Samsung or Apple device your scrutiny is much more involved, not sure how much scrutiny is on Moqi to be honest. So in short, it doesn't work neither as phone nor as gaming device, to replace a phone + bluetooth controller. If you have no phone and no BT controller, and you play mostly fortnite and pubg, maybe this is for you; but otherwise, there is no reason to swap a decent phone with BT controller for this device, unless it is your second device just for gaming (in which case, get a switch lite that cost less ).

Great device, just have to find a good prepaid service
I'm surprised there's only one review for this device. I watched the video reviews on YouTube from different reviewers and heard most of the different opinions ,most loved the device, but found a few quirks with it, the gamepad being the biggest one and the fact that it's missing l2 and r2 buttons. Yes the GamePad is a little quirky but I can adjust to it. missing the l2 and r2 buttons? so is my raspberry pi with the game hat and I've managed to get by quite well on most games including PSone and Dreamcast I also play around with raspberry pi systems as I mentioned earlier and I built quite a few of those, this pretty much outperforms all of them including my pi4. . I bought this primarily as a gaming system but to also use as a telephone, now as a phone I'm having some issues finding a good service provider on prepaid here in the United States ,straight talk seems to be good but I just have to find the right SIM for it ,Ting works but Tings rates are kind of outrageous if you use a lot of data. when I contacted straight talk they told me to use the AT&t SIM ,that seems iffy at best I can get 4G out of it for data but then I can't use it as a phone, I have to step it down to three g in order to use it as a phone. Might have to try the T-Mobile SIM. what's funny is the straight talk representative told me the Verizon sim won't work at all in this phone that is not supported but I took my actual Verizon sim out of my Verizon phone and stuck it in here and it worked fine. Straight talk told me I wouldn't get data but the phone would work ,actually both work fine 4G signal and it works I may try putting the Verizon one in anyway just to see what it does, otherwise I'll just use the T-Mobile one because I know T-Mobile worked on this one because that's what Ting uses. Anyway enough rambling. I'm not sure what trouble the other reviewer had getting games and emulators working on this thing I've had no issues. I have retroarch loaded also have reicast, ppsspp, and a few others haven't tested GameCube yet Im going to do that later today. overall I find this is a nice device if you can live with the couple of quirks it has, definitely worth the money.Update. Have since tested GameCube and saturn on this as well and both worked better than expected, especially considering this isn't running a flagship CPU more equivalent of an 835 or an 845 snapdragon. only software I'm having trouble getting running under GameCube is set z Star online 1 and 2 for some reason it won't start we'll get to the main menu. Tried steam streaming on this and that work pretty good too, got to see if there's a way to do Xbox streaming next

Glitchy.
I purchased this device when it first came out and I loved it. Wasn't glitchy at all. I had some issues connecting to my Carrier though that was an issue on their side.I ended up returning it because there was another device that went on sale that I decided to use.A year later and I thought I'd give this device another go.The first time I returned it because of a better deal, this time I am returning it because it is so glitchy.Phone randomly turns off, I tried about 6 SD cards (all compatible) before 1 worked.Cannot connect to Bluetooth for more than 5 minutes without disconnecting and a few other things that are going wrong. It's a shame because this is a great phone for gaming. While it's an older chipset, I only noticed a few framerate drop from other flagship phones. It's a bummer how support wasn't kept up for this device. I had hoped to make this may main device because of the uniqueness and custom controls it has though unfortunately, it will most likely be returned.

The idea is better than the execution
Ultimately ended up returning it because of the controls.Cons:The dpad is terrible and face buttons are too close to the right joystick which makes hitting it too easy during gameplay.Missing L2/3 & R2/3 buttons.Stuck on Android 8.Pros:The display and battery life are great. The system is great for everything before the GameCube.
