Solaray, Huperzine A Vegetable Capsules, 60 Count

TLDR: for subtle, non-personality changing, non-high enducing learning and memory enhancement, take 200mcg a day. 100mcg in the morning and 100mcg in the evening. Huperzine A is interesting. When I first started taking it, I didn't think it was doing anything. While I knew it didn't effect transmitters like dopamine or serotonin, I was expecting some kind of noticeable change in my waking perception. This was not the case, however. The first thing I noticed which made me realize it was working were my dreams. I occasionally have vivid dreams. I hadn't had any for awhile before starting the Hup. A. I started with only 100mcg on day 1 and once I increased my dose to 200mcg/day on day 2, my dreams became extremely vivid and sometimes lucid. I also would wake up remembering the entire dream. Dream enhancement is cool, but not why I wanted to start taking this. I wanted cognitive improvements. On day three of taking 200/mcg a day, I tried to juggle my poi (google "3 poi juggling" to see what I am talking about). I had been struggling with this for months. After only about 10 minutes, I was doing it. I was juggling 3 poi. I had been trying to get this down for months, chipping away at it. Then all of a sudden I could just DO IT. It was starting to become clear that I was able to pick up new things with more ease. I have been struggling learning a new programming language for my work, called Scala. Since taking the Hup. A, it has started to feel like I was making progress and "getting" it. The last thing of improvement I want to mention is snowboarding. I have never been able to link my turns. I'd been on Hup. A for about a week and I went snowboarding. After about 30 minutes of slow progression, I was going straight down the hill and linking my turns. I immediately began to build on that and take on steeper hills, wider turns and faster speeds. It was great! There are two things I really like about Hup. A: The first is that there seems to be 0 side effects, besides dream enhancement (which for me is a huge bonus). The second and most important thing is how subtle it seems to be. While I was mastering juggling, Scala, or snowboarding, I didn't feel like I wasn't myself. On the days I choose not to take Hup. A I can still access what I've been learning. I don't feel like I need to take Hup. A to recall what I have gained or keep achieving results. If you are expecting a "high" or some kind of extreme focus, this isn't for you. This product is not a stimulant. It is a learning and memory enhancement product.

This is probably my favorite nootropic and definitely helped me to concentrate longer and improve my energy levels as well. It also was delivered quickly.

Since I rely so often on Amazon reviews I want to add mine to Hup-A. I first bought it 5 or more years ago when my local supplement supplier told me he had a customer that was a nurse. When her memory started to slip she tried 4 products and this was the one that worked best so I bought it. Since my local suppler stopped supplying Solarray I have been off and on this hup-a several times... it does seem to work. Elsewhere I heard that it was huperzine- a that was the active ingredient so I started a bottle of that. A fellow worker asked if I was off the hup-a because they noticed a difference in my memory of things they had already told me and I noticed that my memory for names--a problem for years--was starting to slip again. I ordered the Solarray product and am on the second bottle...and names are coming back easily. I recommend this product.

​Huperzine-A provides a noticeable mental clarity. Noticeable clarity arrives about one week into use. Additional benefits are increased energy and better concentration. I am enrolled in online schooling that requires rigorous studying and Huperzine-A helps maintain focus and concentration.

We bought this product to see if it would help my mother's memory. I can't really say if it works or not as my mother is 94. It didn't really do anything for her - perhaps she's just too old. - She is not senile, but is getting confused - to be expected at her age. Just thankful for the health she does have. Would I recommend this product? Decidedly yes. It was recommended by Dr. Mark Stengler and I value his opinion and his recommendations.

I ahve fibromyalgia and sometimes almost paralyzing pain. I took it the first night and in the morning my pain levels were way down. I mainly got it for brain fog and that has lessened as well so the reduced pain is an added bonus. What I have also notice is how it increases my appetite.

A friend recommended this and I have noticed my work product seeming more organized. No side effects.
