Oh gosh i love this so much
Oh gosh i love this so much! My best friend and i are naval enthusiasts, and we especially love the titanic! The design is great and cute. You can put it in the dishwasher to wash it, i've done it several times and it still works great. Sometimes when you pour the water, you gotta hold it down cause it wants to float to the top. Also the hull might make it flip over upsidedown cause it still has some air inside it. But it's no big deal to me because it infuses my tea and it gets the job done. The holes are kinda big, so SOME teas might have a few leaves slip through the holes.

So cute!
I love tea so I fill this guy up and I can usually brew two cups of tea from the amount of leaves it holds. Opening and closing it is a bit tricky - the entire hull comes off and it's really flexible so takes a little patience. Able to put in top shelf in dishwasher with no problem. I haven't had any trouble with tea pieces coming through the holes (I use Harney & Sons tea) but not sure if finer ground tea would travel through. Overall, a great piece and a fun conversation starter!

A Hilarious 5-Star Gift To Yourself!!
My hubs tells me that eventually our house is going to look like Pee-Wee’s Playhouse with all the “things” being other “things” around here! I saw the Tea-tanic & knew it was a nice addition to my collection of “things”. I half expected it to pop open when I put it in the water. But it stayed together. There was some leaves that came out, but nothing more than what my traditional tea diffuser does. The material is very flexible & bendable. This wouldn’t be a good item for individuals with fine motor or dexterity challenges, including arthritis or shaking, etc. I haven’t figured out a way to load the black bottom half without holding it in one hand and filling it with a spoon in another. It’s a lot like rolling your own cigarettes. But funnier & with your favorite tea! I really enjoy it!

Great Infuser with plenty of space for tea, holes are a little big for some loose leaf teas.
I bought two of these (one for me and one for my mother) for Christmas, once it came I opened it up and it was a lot bigger than I thought it was going to be which is a plus. On the other hand, I tired it with one of my favorite brands of loose leaf tea (Tea Forte) and some of the smaller bits of tea came through the holes. All in all this is a good buy and looks quite fantastic in the cup, but if you aren't a fan of whole or larger leaf loose teas you may not get a whole lot of use out of this.

When I first opened this, the teatanic itself was larger than I expected. It opens laterally, the white and blue sections of the silicon come apart and the tea is put in the bottom of the boat. I was concerned that it would be hard to get it back together without spilling the tea or that it would easily pop apart while in the teacup, but neither of these things were actually an issue. I rather like the size because of how it sits in the cup, and is good for stirring the tea a bit in a way that infusers on a string or chain aren't as effective for. The biggest problem I have with it: the Titanic had 3 smokestacks and this has 4. It's really more of a tea-ship. I would buy this, unpackage it, and put it in a gift basket set for my navy-wife friends. It looks the most like titanic when only the back half is sticking up out of the tea :)

Cute but holes were too big and tea came out into the cup.
You have to have some giant loose leaf tea to use in it or defeat the purpose of it being a diffuser and stick a tea bag in it. Our tea kept coming out into the cup.

Works perfect.
I love this. I use it for my herbs that i get for working out. Easy to use, and to clean. I have not used this for tea bags. Would definitely by another if I ever needed to.

Ok, it's a tea infuser, but we all know that's not why we bought it
Still love this tea infuser two years later. Do I mostly reach past it and use a convenient bag? Yes. But oh my goodness it gives me a smile every time I see it! The joy did not wear off.
