Great cable!
I purchased this hoping it would help connect my Sony Handycam HDR-CX to my television so that I could record directly from my camera to a DVD through my recording device. This cable accomplishes that so I am very happy that I purchased it. I used it to record our Christmas holiday on a DVD for my family to look at anytime in the future, wherever they are. I highly recommend this product.

LOW COST, BEST PICTURE TRANSMISSION

but it's not so good if you want to burn a DVD for friends ...
Indispensible cable if you need to get sound and/or picture out from a Sony Handycam, such as I own, to an analog monitor. There are limitations, though, which have to do with the camera itself. In the case of the HDR-CX240 camera, at least, the NTSC video is output anamorphically squeezed, with no option to either crop the HD image or render it in letterbox format. That's OK if your monitor lets you adjust aspect ratio on analog signals, but it's not so good if you want to burn a DVD for friends or family to watch on an older 4:3 TV set. Better to stick with the HDMI output of the camera where possible. Still, if you need an analog AV cable with a Handycam for any reason, this appears to be a good quality, durable product.

Useless..
Did not work... Small square connector was wrong shape for camera... Lots of video break-up... Useless... Save your money...

It does what it says.
It worked like a charm. No problems hooking it up to my Sony video camera and the RCA to either my tv or DVD recorder.
