Amazing Device!
This Wi-Fi Repeater was exactly what I needed. I have a large home, single-story. and my computer is in the opposite corner of the house than the wireless router. Before purchasing and setting up the WiFi Repeater, I could only get 1-2 bars of signal (and that was only when I could get a signal at all!). I set up this Repeater (takes less than 5 minutes and is painless to do), and plugged it into an outlet located central to the router and the computer. Now, my computer (a desktop using a wireless PCI Adapter I installed) runs at blazing fast speeds online! In addition, my PS3 and Xbox 360 run perfectly fine off of it too! I love this device, and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for an extended signal!Edit: Because of the amazing results I had with the "Classical Design," I decided to get a "Multifunctional Design" model and try it out. First off, I want to state that the packaging is beautiful, and the box includes several sets of instructions and a software CD, so there is no way you can get confused while trying to set this thing up. Also, setup is still a breeze, taking only a few minutes from start to finish. All I can say is: This is one powerful device! It's 4 different functions (Router, Bridge, Repeater, or Client/Network Adapter) encompass just about anything anybody would want or need as far as WiFi is concerned, and all of the functions work quite well. My Cell Phones, Gaming Systems, iPods, and Computers all connect to the device as a router, repeater, or bridge effortlessly, and as a network adapter, this thing makes a dandy WiFi adapter for the old Xbox 360 (before built in WiFi).If you're looking for better wireless performance, look no further. This is your friend. Both of the models being sold are amazing, but I would personally recommend the Multifunctional version, due to its multiple uses. This device is, hands down, the best there is, and is worth every penny.

Never worked well
I had a hard time getting it set up, I was able to get the computer to see it and went thru the steps to set up the passcode. Then it didn't recognize the passcode. I reset it, did it again, still no luck. Reset it one more time tonight and replaced the cable with one of much better quality that came with my modem. Worked like a charm. Now my iPad isn't dropping WiFi anymore!(our wireless router is in the basement). Only the first day, if it holds up I may need another! This is an addendum, the repeater lasted about 6 months, then started dropping signal. I now have a Netgear I purchased at the local Walmart, much easier set up and so far works well, I have had to reset it from time to time but that consists of unplugging it and plugging it back in. Nothing else to do, no cables to use.

Easy To Hook Up, Not Good At What It's Supposed To Do
I've had this device now for almost a month. I just had to return it. Didn't want to. It was a good price. Even setting it up was a piece of cake and it also comes with good directions. The only problem (and a critical one) is this device gave me barely a marginal boost in signal. In fact it seemed that when I connected my iPad and iPhone to the repeater it was slower than my router's Wi-Fi that's located down stairs! To tell you the truth, I had my reservations when buying this product but I took a chance because I wanted to go cheap hoping this was all I would need to spend. But sure enough I got what I paid for. So if you really want to do this stuff right you need a good brand like Cisco, Netgear, Linksys, etc. Although it may cost a quite a bit more, you get results.

Works, but setup can be a chore .. but I was assured this is changing.
I work with computer and it took me a good 4 hours to find a way to set this up. The instructions is not comprehensive or clear. It tells you what to do but doesn't tell you what the expected results should be. So if it doesn't work out perfectly, you won't know that something is wrong. Instructions should be, do A, get B - and not just do A, do B, do C. Word choices of the instructions are ambiguous. If you want us to enter the WPA2 Key, WEP Key, etc, say so and give example where it may be found and not just the word 'passphrase'. I understand there are many types and configurations when it comes to networking but most people on here are not experts and your instructions should gear toward your audience. Also, there are no phone support. The support number, c, that comes w/ the instructions, is not in service. Your only option is emailing [email protected] tried both methods, AP Mode Wired Setup and Repeater Mode Wireless Setup, and both didn't work for me. Had to resort the video (#1 helpful comment on here) before I was able to make some progress. However, if you use that video as a guide, remember if and when you get "connected" confirmation between your repeater and existing router, then you are good. When try to connect your computer/tablet/tv to the repeater, it will ask you for the WPA2/WEP/etc. key that's usually on your router. And it's now CASE SENSITIVE. It has to case-matched what you entered during the repeater setup. If you connect straight to your router it's NOT CASE SENSITIVE though. Also, notice that the instruction on the video doesn't match w/ what the official instructions have but it works better? That said, it has a cumulative 4-stars rating so maybe I don't know what I'm doing. But I was expecting the setup to be a lot easier than it was for me.EDIT:The company actually called me, apologized, and asked for suggestion about what they could do to make the installation process easier. This is rare these days and appreciated. They said they are in the process of updating their instruction manual. The product works well after installation. Because of this, I'm changing it to 3-stars b/c of my initial experience. The correct support number is 800.988.7973 as stated in the reply of this message by the company.
