1000 Dot-to-Dot: Masterpieces

small dots = great art
I'm a young person with 20-20 vision and these dots truly are really small. especially the grey 700-799 range are a little tough to see! the other thing to note is that unlike easier dot-to-dot books, the lines in these artworks criss-cross each other to build up tone, so sometimes it's not immediately obvious where the next dot is. That said, having each set of 100 numbers be a different color really helps, and the fact that the dots are so small means they kind of 'fade away' when you look at a finished drawing. this book is large-format and soft cover, so is best solved on a table vs. on knees/in bed, and has solutions to all the puzzles on the back cover. all the drawings are 1000 dots, literally- and the paper is fairly thick, I used a uniball rollerball pen and didn't experience bleed-through (I don't press very hard though).

Great activity
So much fun! I'm a high school art teacher, and my students like the "extreme dot to dot" puzzles, so I got this to go a step further. Unfortunately, the book is oversized and doesn't fit into our copy machine, and if I'd shrink the pages, the dots would be too small to see.More fun for me! I keep this by the couch and work on it at night (without my glasses - the dots are really tiny). Beautiful images!

Enjoyable puzzles
I'm 72 and love to do dot to dot puzzles. Thomas Pavitte creates some masterpieces in this book. My only complaint is in the edition I have the numbers are extremely small and are printed very lightly. I use a desktop illuminated magnifier and still have issues.

Not your traditional in line dot to dot.
Not your traditional in-line dot to dot. Definitely for creative individuals. An extreme challenge that fills a time void as well as artistic prowess. The numbers are quite small a magnifying glass or strong reading glasses will help. One must remember with this book the structure of the dots are placed strategically to draw a detailed picture.. It's not merely following the dots in a circle, it's following the dots for detail so the dots are not in line and will cross each other in order to create depth or dimension to the final picture. Awesome challenge to say the least.

Do not be deterred!
Are the numbers small? Yes! But that doesn't make it impossible, especially for the 99.99% of people without a magnifying glass. So get out your specs, a good light and get to work. The numbers are color coded for each 100 which makes identifying them much easier. If you mess up, you'll never be able to tell in the finished product. The pages are very large and only printed on the right page which is fun for rightys. If you're left handed you're in luck because the pages are perforated and you can just tear it out. The silver lining to the small numbers is that they are barely noticeable when you're done!

but I just wear my glasses and it's fine.: )
Addicted to Pavitte's Dot to Dot books (minus the animals, just not my thing). Very relaxing and addicting. Yes, the dots are hard can be hard to see, but I just wear my glasses and it's fine. :)

Unreadable
The numbers for creating the images are unreadable very very small and no, I don’t have any eyes sight problems. Since I found out about the problem a month after patching it, though it was new unused, I could not return it to the seller. Frustration

Wonderful product
Well made, very entertaining, great results. Lots of attention to details like they make sure to place the number at a place where a previous line won't pass over it, and the numbers are separated in groups of 100 with different colors so it'S easier to find the number you're looking for. Highly recommend.

I have some different versions of connect the dots And although these Numbers are small - makes me happy I can see so well because these are so much fun! I have three of these series now. My favourite is Masterpieces, 2nd favourite is Animals, third is Cities. I can't wait to get my fourth!

Masterpieces Paperback – Aug 26 2015 by Thomas Pavitte (Author) I like it. Just one problem
1000 Dot-to-Dot: Masterpieces Paperback – Aug 26 2015by Thomas Pavitte (Author)I like it. Just one problem. With the dots being in different pastel colours they are sometimes very difficult to see. Otherwise they are great.
