Not worth the hassle
This is the second time I have to return these shoes. They run incredibly small. Returning is a hassle as I have to box them back up and drive to a UPS store. The first time I returned them it cost me an extra $15.00 for a half size bigger! I'm hoping that doesn't happen again. Why the exact same shoe costs more is beyond me. This is precisely why I hate to make purchases through the internet. You never know what you're truly getting!

great for beginners :)
*****It arrived earlier than I expected. As soon as I realized what it was, excitement overwhelmed me; however, it was too tight for me. Although it was possible to put my left foot, not for the right one, because my right foot is a half size bigger than my left one, and it was right after working out which made my feet swollen. Anyway, next day I tried again and it really tightly fit. For climbing shoe, smaller is better than bigger. I decide to wear them and surprisingly it actually fit my feet. At first, it hurt, but later, its size became mine. I like that there was no string for tie shoes and its color. Also compared to other shoes, I love the price, seventy nine dollars some cents. Although not sure on arch, toe box and heel are totally good enough for both climbing and bouldering. If you are just a beginner, it might be better than any other and I witnessed my friend who also got this one like it.

Good for beginner shoes
These were my first pair of purchased climbing shoes. I mainly climb outside but I am hoping to get more indoor time in the near future.I wear a size 7.5 or 7.0 depending on the brand street shoe. I opted for the 7 in these because my rentals so far have all consistantly been 7's and fit ok. These were definitely a little tight at first...they arrived on a Wed and I was going to be climbing on Sunday, so I wore them around the house to try to loosen them up and break them in a little. When I went out on Sunday, they were still somewhat tight but manageable. The rental shoes I had been using were stickier than these but I don't think they hindered my climbing all too much. The four stars were because they just don't feel as sticky as some other shoes and I definitely noticed the difference once I tried to climb a higher ranked wall.I climbed 5 routes and by the end of the day, my feet were pretty angry with me...it felt like my big toe was going to be the biggest issue but it turned out that I just had one little blister on my right pinky toe. My heels were also a little sore but i am pretty sure that is because I was sweating a lot and when I kept pulling these off to switch to my hiking shoes between climbs, I kept rubbing against the heel. For a first day out, I am happy with one blister (I had more on my fingertips than my feet...good day!)In the future, I will not be buying these again but will probably upgrade to better, stickier shoes. They definitely work for now and are great for starting out.

Finding the right size is difficult
I am a beginner when it comes to climbing. I read many great reviews on these shoes and this brand in general, so I decided to give it a shot. They are well-made shoes and look great, but every size seems way too small for me. I wear a size 8.5 regularly so I went a whole size up first and then a size and a half. Both are too small. I read that you are supposed to go up sizes for climbing shoes, but going up more than a size and a half seems strange. Some places don't even seem to have larger than a size 10. Maybe a men's shoe would work? I ended up going with a different brand. I do own other climbing gear in this brand, though, which are all great.

Too Small
It looks like a great climbing shoe with a good fit and low around ankles. I wear size 10 in street shoe and ordered 10. There was no way it was going to fit (and yes I know they are supposed to fit tight...) I'm going to order an 11 to see if that will be better. But, I see 11 is the biggest they make!

If you want to purchase theses shoes get a whole ...
If you want to purchase theses shoes get a whole size bigger because they run very small. I wear a 7 in a half, so I purchased that size. When I received the shoe, I couldnt even fit my feet into it because it was so small.

Good Price for a Great Beginner Shoe!
I know people who still climb in this shoe that are "seasoned climbers," but I feel this is a GREAT beginner shoe. The fit is really nice, but I have to admit in most climbing shoes I wear about 1 size smaller than my street shoe. In these I wear 1/2 size smaller to the same size as my street shoe (depending on if I'm indoors or outdoors). So I guess for a "climbing shoe" it runs a little small.I prefer velcro straps. These are nice and big/thick easy on/off. Nice grip and good rubber toe covering...although for the beginner it's the most reasonably priced shoe you will still go through a pair probably every 6-10 months depending on frequency of climbing and how quickly you learn to not drag your toes up the wall. The heel cup is really nice with the flexible sides...makes it feel snug.My only beef with the shoe is that the part by the achilles is a little taller than I'd like but the more you wear it the more this "breaks down" and becomes less stiff and more comfortable. If you have a problem with things rubbing there or sensitive skin...this might not be the shoe for you. Because it is pretty annoying at first.I'm on my third pair of this particular model of evolv's. Prices on Amazon are better than most stores. HOWEVER. Because of the way these fit I highly suggest trying a pair on at a local store to find your size THEN coming on here and purchasing them.
