I made the mistake of ordering by sight and not reading carefully. Thought this was an absolute bargain (the value is still good overall) but It''s a very thin coating on wood, nothing like previous platforms I've bought with thick coating on both sides. Usable but would't buy again. I actually thought I would be getting 2 thin mineral perches too but they are wood poorly covered with sand, my fault for not reading! I won't even use those as I know they aren't suitable for my bird who prefers a natural wood or mineral perch for longer use. He does enjoy sitting on platforms and trimming beak but the one's I have are thick mineral covered and have taken some battering and they are covered both sides so I can turn over. We just bought a full size aviary style cage and wanted extra platforms to encourage him to explore the bottom so these will do but if he start to use them I will need to replace with better quality ones.

The package has two important categories: the sticks with the coating that helps keep the bird's nails maintained, and the natural woods. Every 3-4 months, I repurchase these to maintain the hygiene of the cage. My birds love it, and I never have to take them to the vet for nail clipping.

I purchased these items believing they would be colourful as per the picture. They were not coloured in any way shape or form (my bird is afraid of toys that are wicker coloured so freaked out when he saw them. The perches in the pack are dangerous. They are extremely small and unstable. They plates to attach them are too small and when I attached one to the cage the perch splintered and a sharp screw pierced through the wood. Thankfully I checked it before allowing my bird to go bear it as he would have been harmed. Absolute rubbish and dangerous with it. Do not buy
