Never tried gardening before, but these hearty little beasts are nonetheless thriving. Planted in east-facing bed, partial tree cover (few hours morning sun, afternoon shade) in NC. Review: Great hosta plants, and a good bargain - I received 12 hosta plants in stead of 9! They were all fresh, and had leaves starting on them. I soaked them in water for 30 minutes before planting and I'll have some beautiful hostas soon! Update:all 12 hostas turned out to be identical, there was no variety.

Got two sets of qty 9, every one of them growing strong. White-edged came up a bit slower than the yellow-edged, but all thriving, growing fast. Great hosta plants, and a good bargain
