Jet 5000 Outdoor Tool Case with Pocket Tool Boards, Black

I just received this case. My first impression is that with all the German writing in the posting from the seller, I presumed this was made in Germany. It turns out that it’s made in China. It says so on the the outside of the box and on a tag on the handle of the case. But regardless, it seems like a very well built, robust case. I’ve used tool cases for about 30 years as a field engineer servicing medical imaging equipment and have traveled to about every state in the USA, and I can tell you this is the best case I have come across. It has like 4 pallets of where you can place individual tools, it had a storage compartment below that you can customize. I will be putting my digital multi-meter and 1/4 inch mini socket set in there along with other things. The case has very secure locking tabs, there is a rubber gasket that seals everything inside when the case is closed and locked. There is a pressure valve built into the case that will allow the pressure to equalize at different altitudes without comprising the the airtight/watertight seal of the rubber gasket. I’m very impressed with this case, especially for the price and highly recommend it.

Overall, it’s a quality case, but I wish the bottom space was deeper. As it currently is, it doesn’t fit a drill/driver with a battery on it, and it would be much better if a bit case could sit vertically. That would make this a 5-star product. Other than that, the pockets are a bit small: they’ll hold tools but it’s not big enough to grip around the handles of screwdrivers to secure them in place, and other hand tools fit tightly. The latches are very secure. I have no worry of this popping open at all.

I was very disappointed. The pockets were too narrow and not as deep as I expected. This item seems to have been made for all small tools and not normal tools. It would not hold half of the tools I was storing in a tote bag much smaller then this case. I would like to return it.

Overall great tool box, super rough and durable. Not to mention looks cool.

The quality of this tool case is very good. The outside plastic is very sturdy and the latches seem very strong. I like that it has the ability to lock it with a padlock next to both latches. They only complaints I have are the pouch sizing on the tool boards. It seems like all the pouchs were designed to hold screwdrivers, wrenches and other small things. No consideration was give to holding pliers, hex wrenchs and other oddly shaped/bigger tools. I've only had it a couple weeks now, time will tell if the fabric on the tool boards hold up.

Great toolbox. Light weight, tough and allows you to keep the tools organized. It fells very well made. I really like it.

Sehr gute Verarbeitung

Der Koffer macht einen sehr soliden Eindruck. Allerdings muss ich Sterne abziehen, da auf dem ersten Bild ein Tragesystem abgebildet ist, um den Koffer auf dem Rücken tragen zu können. Dieses ist NICHT im Lieferumfang enthalten. Die Erwartungen wurden deshalb nicht vollständig erfüllt. Meiner Meinung nach sollte dieses Bild dringend ausgetauscht oder zumindest die Beschreibung angepasst werden.
