Love this radio sounds 10 times better than my factory one

After a few hours of use, it was a must do for my BRZ, bought the bezels to make it look flushed and took my time wiring, it sounds, works and plays wonderfully. Also it's peak retro if you like the early 2000's head unit with a remote, it's a flex on itself.

After nearly 3 nears of ownership the radio is still mostly working. I have had some issues where it will infrequently freeze up or the bluetooth go crazy and people cant hear you on a call but these issues were resolved with turning the engine off then on. Overall its a great unit if you dont have a large dashboard and want to add some tech to your ride.

Overall I'm pretty disappointed with this radio for the price to performance. I've been a fan of Pioneer and owned many different radios from them in the past (DEH-510UB was my first). I've always bought a radio that was around the $300 range and never been disappointed until now. Recently I bought a cheap Boss stereo for a cheap work truck. I was blown away by the quality, instructions, included backup camera, unit responsiveness and lastly price. I trying to ride on it's brand and is about to/already has been surpassed by hungry companies trying to prove themselves. The biggest complaint.... SLOW This thing takes forever to boot, and even longer to see the backup camera. If you are a get in the car, turn it on, and instantly put it in reverse kind of person, you will be very annoyed. This thing takes at least 10-15 seconds to boot up. Frustrating when the cheap boss was super responsive for 1/3 of the price. Backup camera: I bought a pioneer branded backup camera so that I was sure I'd get something quality (paid $90). DON'T MAKE MY MISTAKE. The INCLUDED boss backup camera was better resolution and FREE!!! Oh and wiring up the cameras, take a guess who wins this round again. I specifically bought this version as I was looking for a model with Car Play and 4V pre-amp outs for a subwoofer amp. I swear these things are 2v, and weak as can be. Overall I'd go with another brand, or spend more if you want to stay with Pioneer. There's more competition and Pioneer is loosing the battle. Works great. The sound is great and the screen easy to use. Bluetooth apps work seamlessly and the touch screen is sensitive …. as it should be

So far I like it alot you do have to plug in your phone to use the car play but beside that I love everything it offers for the price id recommend it.

I like that it’s got car play that’s why I got it over tha nsx 1400 that I got in my car

Works just like original Android auto systems, fast and responsive. It improved the audio quality in my vehicle, even radio station reception improved. (Note, connect "parking brake" cable to ground to bypass android auto lockout during driving)
