SpiderWire Ultracast Invisi-Braid Superline Fishing Line

Spiderwire’s Ultracast Invisi-Braid is THE best braid I’ve found for saltwater surf-casting with lightweight spinning reels. The 15 and 20 lb test pair well with 10 and 12 lb Seagaur Fluorocarbon leaders. Invisi-Braid’s white, translucent color disappears in the surf and I rarely get a wind loop. I’ve tried a dozen other top name braids but found no other as good — Spiderwire’s Ultracast Invisi-Braid is top-notch and highly recommended.

I want to start off by saying they have good customer service, but the quality of the line is terrible. Every few casts the line would snap 10-20ft up the line causing me to lose lures/money. They sent me a new spool as a replacement, however it just did the same thing. I would definitely not recommend this product especially for the price you can find better quality for less money.

I’m fishing the 20 which breaks at 50 based on testing done by a few and can be found on YouTube. I fish mine at 16 pounds of drag and can’t break it. Creates a strong bond with fluorocarbon leader using an FG knot.

Use this pretty much exclusively on my inshore gear. Amazing stuff. Casts super far and holds way more than it should. It occasionally wind knots, as any braid will, but is pretty easy to sort out.

I bought the ultra cast invisi-braid and it works good, casting with it is smooth. The only down side about the invisi braid it gets dirty quick, on my first cast the braid came in looking gray. I use it for saltwater fishing, also it does absorb water.

I have found 15 lb Spiderwire Ultracast Invisi-braid is the perfect size line for my use on medium-size spinning reels for panfish to bass/walleye/northern pike. Ten pound test is too fine and gets more easily tangled especially when using a hook, spiltshot and bobber. 20 lb test is a little to coarse for throwing small panfish lures. I generally tie directly to a coastal-lock snap swivel and can cast 1/16 oz jigs and up fairly well. I also like the visibility of the line for vertically jigging blade baits - I can watch my line much easier than the green colored lines and I believe the yellow/bright green lines are much more visible to the fish. This braid holds up very well, does not fray much and lasts a very long time. The strength of this braid compared to most other lines is also a real plus in getting snags out. I also have greater confidence in fighting larger fish as this line is very strong and will not break as easily as mono-filament lines - just remember that braids have much less stretch than mono-filaments so be sure to set your drag lighter to account for this so larger fish don't tear the hooks out. For trolling, I use the green Spiderwire ultracast line and love the way it cuts through the water quicker than mono-filament allowing you to keep you line near the bottom or that crank baits will dive deeper on a small diameter braid. This line also holds up better than some of the other "superlines". While not totally invisible, I think it is less visible than the bright green and yellow lines of the competitor lines. The other "white" colored superline brand just does not compare in longevity, durability and suppleness to Ultracast Invsi-braid. While this line is expensive, by purchasing the 1500 yard spool I am saving 15 - 30% off of what it would cost me if I purchased the 300 yard spool. I just respooled 7 reels, backed with mono-filament line, and I should get a full season of use out of this line.

Awesome deal... Buying this in 150 or 300 yard rolls would cost you twice or even three times as much... Line is high quality, I use it on all my salt water and catfish poles...

Cast smoothly, a little difficult to handle the tag end when the wind is blowing but handle abrasion well.

This is my favourite line.

It’s what I’ve been using except the price is much lesser now due to the booger roll of lines
