Italian in simple terms, for the short traveller!
If you're going on holiday and you don't have time to do a full blown language course for the country you are visiting, all you need to survive are the basics. This book does exactly 'what it says on the tin'. Every day phrases for the holiday traveller, explained with pronunciation. Nothing more nothing less. Worked a treat, never bought or ordered something we didn't want and brought smiles to the local faces. Not sure if that was because our accent was poor or that they were pleased we spoke some of the language. Whatever, we had a great time and would use this publisher's phrase books again.

Massively outdated, phrases in here are the kind of thing my grandma would have used on her holidays. Rated it a 3/5 for the enjoyment we got from how old this book is

Handy, but not marvelous
The book gives you lots of model sentences you may need to use during a travel in Italy. Each part has specific titles, such as taxi, amusements, clothing, etc... The contents table at the beginning and the index at the end are both a must for a phrase book: You may find what you want easily. Each word and sentence has its phonetic transcription to help your pronunciation. It's a good book which may help you for a short travel to Italy. But I can't say it's a perfect "phrase book", as there are much more words and typical sentences you must learn.

Rubbish
This is the worst phrase book I have ever seen. It is cheap but doesn't have fundamental phrases or a logical layout - spend a little more and get a decent one. Also, i found YouTube more helpful for pronunciation than the ‘breakdown’ this book gives!

A bit disappointing. Too big for the pocket and rather poorly printed on cheap paper

This was part of a Xmas present for my daughter who is planning a trip to Italy. She loved the gift and said it will be very helpful.
