A Take-Down bow designed for older, more experienced children (recommended ages 12 and up), the Bear Archery Bullseye X Recurve Bow is a natural next step for your budding archer. This recurve bow doesn't offer the let-off assist of compound bows, meaning the draw-back required more effort, but ultimately results in a more powerful shot. Each piece of the bow is made from a hardy, lightweight multi-laminate: white on the limbs and a carved-wood look on the grip. The limbs can be removed for easy storage. Sight and arrow-rest holes make aiming and firing easier. Choose from three available size options – 48”, 54”, and 62”. The 48” bow features a peak draw weight of 25 lbs. and the 54” and 62” bows offer a peak draw weight of 29 lbs.

I'm pretty proficient at both
I can shoot rifles. I can shoot pistols. I'm pretty proficient at both. I haven't ever really shot a bow, so I bought one to start to learn. This has been a great tool to begin the learning curve. I have been using this along with a few newbie arrow kits to learn how to aim (no sights, just natural aiming) and fletching. I'd say this is probably a better investment than fixing my lawnmower that finds a few of the lost arrows I've fired.

Good Quality
Takes a few minutes to assemble, but I've always like Bear Archery products. Pictures don't show it, but there are mount screw holes for an arrow rest and sight/counter balance/fishing set up

Nice looking bow
Nice looking bow. Easy to use. Great for beginners, however, using these types of bows requires more skill and strength than a comparable compound. If you want to learn this is a good starter.
