Awesome Book
This book is an awesome book. William Seymour was a true man of God. The author captures Seymour's passion and boldness in God through a snapshot of some of his sermons. A good read for sure!

Disappointing read: do not buy
The whole story of Asuza Street is covered in the first 30% of the book.An average read, but for anyone trying to unpack Asuza and revival in general, I suggest to avoid.

The Author is not William Seymour
This book was from the view of the author, not William Seymour. I wanted to put it down, but trucked on through to come to the conclusion this man must be white, and sure enough he is. There is a perspective that was brought from a demeaning nature to indicate the immaturity of Seymour, to downplay the entire movement. Not only that, the author in fact interjected his thoughts and then with confidence would write as if he were present, which ended up being false accounts. It seemed he took the view of Parham more than Seymour...which is the issue most of all, because as an author speaking on behalf of someone, you stay unbiased, you state the facts only, the things that happened, not one's thoughts or opinions. I was very disappointed with the part one regarding the biography of William Seymour. I recommend that no one read this book due to the false accounts, and the heavy ladened racist perspective of discrediting the work of William Seymour.

White Washed
This book was a very white-washed version of William Seymour's life. I found the author to be self-contradictory and extremely unaware of racism, even suggesting that acknowledging the impact of racism on the short-lived nature of the revival would be missing the point. While not focusing specifically on racism, many other resources acknowledge its presence and impact in Seymour's life and ministry.

God is good and we see that in Azusa street
I wish I was there with them in the flesh. Looking forward to seeing more works of God come by the grace of the Holy Spirit
