Maui Babe Browning Lotion 8 Ounces

Originally found this product when I visited Maui years ago. It works just as I remember... AMAZING. I just returned from 4 days in Miami with a nice warm golden caramel tan, and even my LEGS (which NEVER tan easily) look tan! I only went to the beach twice, and have to say, I am THOROUGHLY impressed with my results from using this product.A few things to note:1) WEAR SUNCREEN! Apply sunscreen prior to going outdoors, as your normally would, then apply this product once you are ready to lay out. You WILL BURN if you do not apply sunscreen first!2) Yes, it does discolor your towel/ a bathing suit (like a yellow brown color), but it also browns your skin a warm caramel color. Use a dark/ black towel & swimsuit with this product so you are not unrealistically disappointed by the outcome of discoloration of your fabrics.3) It smells like coffee beans w a hint of coconut, definitely distinct and unique, but not offensive or chemically.4) Squeezing it out it looks like poop(!!)...do not be deterred..... it rubs on like BUTTER! So smooth & also feels very moisturizing.5) Keep some baby wipes handy to remove the product from your hands after applying.

I'm 23 and I've been using Maui Babe Browning lotion for five years now. The reviews saying it has come with the bottle busted open and the lotion all over the bottle and the box - that's sort of the risk you take when you order a bottle of liquid online to be shipped to your home, it's not like the seller busted open the bottle and shipped it like that. I absolutely love this lotion for both natural outdoor and indoor tanning beds. I only recently started using it in indoor tanning beds, but it works just as well - as if that was any surprise to me, this stuff is magic! Ordering it through Prime is obviously so convenient, it's just icing on the cake.The trick is to put about a nickel-sized amount on your fingers and then rub it onto your skin quickly, covering as much area as you can. Going quickly helps it spread easier and you won't have to use as much product. If you think it feels oily while using it - outdoors or indoors - take some extra time and rub it in a while longer even after it feels like it's soaked in, that will help it not feel as oily.This is easily one one of my favorite products of all time. No streaks, no stains, just a gorgeous, glowing tan that never fails! I haven't ever taken before and after photos after laying out to tan with it, but I will try taking some soon and then update this review with those.

I used this for the first time last summer and it made me the tannest I have ever been! I usually get tan in the summer but I’m pretty fair so it was never anything crazy. But this does wonders! I never got burnt from this (the few times I burnt was probably from not reapplying sunblock, not from the Maui babe). I have a side by side picture of my sister and I who have very similar skin tones. I used Maui babe all summer and she didn’t and you can definitely see the difference. I will use this forever!

Love love love it ... Smells incredible... why in the world ppl claim that it smells bad??? It smells like a coffee beans and to me it’s so good! I never got sunburnt and the color I achieved is just amazing so far ...

Only a third of the the way through and I love it.I tan okay normally but I can’t hold a tan. This has definitely helped extend if I miss a few days in the sun.MAKE SURE YOU PUT ON SPF. Tried it once without it, not the best idea.You will still tan with 15-30spf I promise you.The smell is a little like wet coffee grounds which if you love coffee is amazing. If you don’t, it washes off easy after you’re done.Everyone points out the tan I have, not the orange.I thought about buying a more expensive “Fox tanner” and I’m actually kinda glad I went here first!! I will definitely be buying more of this when the first bottle is gone!!

The product arrived undamaged and fully in tact and yes they have fixed the mailing packaging to help with spilling- as for the actual product it’s fantastic- I would say this is better than the salon version, it just has a better color , I tan in a tanning bed a stand up one and for me I must put a towel on the floor and stand on it while I’m in the standing tanning bed and if any drips it doesn’t stain , yeah I won’t lie down on a bed with it on because it stains like crazy , if you want a good lasting color don’t use it all the time I tan everyday and I use it every other time along with a tingle and it turns my color into a Brazilian style tan with that really bronze color , I’m super pale I’m Dutch and naturaly white and very pale it takes around 2 weeks for this product from not tan to having a killer tan with this product.

I am very pale, very freckled, burn easily, and almost incapable of tanning. I burn very easily. This was recommended to me by pale friends who swear it's the only thing that gets them naturally tan.Regretfully, I don't think this does much for me. I tested this by using it on part of my body for a few 30-60 minutes sessions of lying in the sun, and there's really not a difference between the areas I used it on and the areas I didn't use it on. So it may be accelerating my tan, but not enough to get me a visible tan.The reason I still gave it three stars is that I've seen it work well on other people, and I think this is probably just my body's lack of ability to tan. I also really like the smell - like maple and coffee, I think, though I've heard other people say it smells like a sweet teriyaki sauce - and the consistency of it. I'll probably keep using it just because my skin feels really nice afterward.If you tan slowly, this is probably a great buy for you! If you just DON'T tan, it may not help as much.

LOVE THIS STUFF. Just be sure to apply sunscreen and follow directions for the first time. This stuff is no joke. It does have a distinct smell and can rub off on light colored clothing, but I love it. I gives me an even tan and I don't mind the smell at all. I use this every summer.

I am extremely pale, like there's pale and then theres me.I have tried so many tan enhancers in the past which only made me burn. I was sceptical about buying Maui Babe due to the price and for it not to work would have been a waste of money. I tried for 3 weeks in the sun and I have to say, Maui Babe it the BEST TAN ENHANCER EVER!!!!! I cannot express enough how incredible this product is! It took me 5-7 days to see a little bit of a tan but by my 21 days I couldn't believe how brown I was! Don't contemplate buying this product, just buy it and you won't regret it!P.s It kind of smells weird, like walkers barbecue crisps, but it fades once it soaks in!

Ok, I had doubts. I saw pictures of busted bottles that had exploded. Bad reviews and many people saying not buy this. I also saw the other half saying that this was an awesome sun tanning lotion and that it was a must.The bottle came in a little box that I could open without cutting it. However the bottle hadn't exploded. There was no seal when I opened the top. Was worried about that. Made the product look sketchy. Thats why I gave it a 3 stars for presentation.Had read in the reviews that the odour was either you love it or you hate it. What do I think of it? I love coffee, so I dont mind that it smells that... at all. I kind of smell like a coffee crisp once it's on.I put the lotion on, it gave me a rich brown oily skin. Didn't mind that too. Plus it was easy to apply. Didn't need a lot of product to do my whole body!If I sweat too much, it runs down brown, I read that in many reviews, so I used an old towel and black bathing suit. Problem solved.I already had a tan going but it clearly speeded the process. I went in the sun maybe an hour and bam! Came back in browner.My skin isn't dry. Does it moisturize? I would say yes as it's super oily. But I cant wait to get in the shower and rinseOver all, very pleased with my purchase. I do recommend.

A lot of people are saying that everything is great apart from the smell. However, I loved it! It smells like coffee, very subtle and nothing like I expected after reading the comments. The delivery was super fast and easy. Can not wait to try the product out!

Absolutely love this stuff!!!! My friend recommended it and I recently purchased it for my holiday the tan was immense and lasted for ages I think it helps to prolong your tan will definitely be buying more when I run out 😍

Messy but ok!

Didn't experience that the sun lotion had the desired effect of intensify the sunbathing. The Product is measy and dont dry properly into your skin. Leaves your clothes and bath towel dirty.

Doesn’t work at all, just smells horrible & has a guide colour making you think you’re darker

Terrible product do not buy this as it gives no protection what’s so ever!!!! Burnt myself to a crisp and it smells horrible! Stay away from this stuff!
