Get this for your itchy hamster
So I was dubious about how effective this product would be for hamsters, esp since hamsters and baths are like oil and water. But the description said it was good for even these little guys. About a month ago, I noticed that my hamster had dandruff - which is something I've never seen on hamsters before. He was also scratching himself raw, which made some bits of his fur fall out. I suspected a fungal infection, but I couldn't get him in to see a vet until over a week later. So I decided to try this shampoo out in the meantime. Let me tell you, it's not an easy task trying to keep a hamster still for 10mins to lather the shampoo in. It's also really important to keep them warm during this process. I held him close in my hands to keep the warmth in and to prevent him from trying to lick himself. Also, after I rinsed him off, I partly used a blow dryer on the lowest warm setting and held it far enough away so that the air wouldn't burn his delicate skin. You also want to direct the air flow from behind so that it didn't blow in its face. Then I used a fine dog comb to gently take out the shed hair and dandruff - which also helped to dry him off. The best time for me to do all this was during the day when he was already calm and sleepy. I didn't notice anything until about the 4th day, when the dandruff looked smaller, the itching decreased and his skin looked less scaley. I still had concerns about regularly bathing him, but my vet said that the shampoo is less intrusive on the hamsters' health than having to take a strong antifungal medicine orally - which makes sense. She encouraged me to continue the shampoo for a few more times and see if my hamster continued to improve. The vet didn't suspect ringworm, but perhaps an allergy to his bedding or pollen (??). I definitely suspected a mild case of ringworm, b/c he had a UTI and URI as well. But in any case, this stuff worked so well!!! It was gentle on my little guy and I used a good amount to lather him up. It also smelled good. It wasn't overpowering at all or had a chemical stench. In fact, he pretty much smelled like his usually self, but nicer. I've shampooed him only 4 times since I've received it (doing it every 3 days) and he looks great. He's back to his normal self. Whatever skin condition your pet has, this will help. And it is safe enough to use - even on a 160gram, delicate, litte hammie.

Great for rats and other small pets too!
So my husband and I decided that since we can't get a cat or dog at our current apartment, we'd get two pet rats. Well, everything was great until about a week later I had ringworm all over my hands and arms. One of our rats had ringworm, which spread to the other rat and, in turn, to me! I found absolutely nothing meant specifically for rats online, and Google the All-knowing was even telling me to use the same cream I was using on my own ringworm for them. For those with furry animals of any kind, you know that's not an easy option, especially when you're not positive where the ringworm is exactly on their bodies and if they'll try to eat the cream off and get sick or even die from it. So I found this product after several hours of searching and, while it had no reviews for people using it on rats and was a bit pricey for not knowing if it would work or not, I went for it. Well, let me tell you, it cured my rats faster than my own ringworm treatment cured me! No joke, if I get ringworm again I might test this on myself, lol. I washed them twice a week for a month,l (after which it went away), then once a week for two months after that because I was paranoid it would come back. My biggest concern was how to hold them still for 10 mins after the bath while the stuff was left on them, but since they're so small it was actually quite easy to just wrap them up in a small towel with their head sticking out one and for air. I'd have to keep an eye out to make sure they didn't lick themselves, which they didn't do for the most part. They'd occasionally get a quick lick or two in before I could restrain them again, but I'm happy to say it didn't make them sick or cause any harm that I'm aware of (it's now been about 6 months and neither have cancer, so that's a good sign, right?). Then I'd wash them off and they'd be all set to go. A couple side notes: My rats, like most, have very sensitive noses. While this left a slight smell to their fur, it was actually not unpleasant and it did not cause them to sneeze or sniffle as other strong smells have in the past. Also, I've used various types of soaps and shampoos since then for their weekly baths, and none--not one!--has gotten rid of their dirty rat smell 100% like this product has! If the product weren't so expensive and if I weren't worried about using it long-term on my ratties, I would use it for their normal shampoo. It works wonders at getting rid of all the oils without making their fur and skin too dry and scratchy. Also, for rats you only need to use a tiny bit (like a teaspoons worth), so you'll have tons leftover. I'd say there's definitely enough to treat 2-6 kittens or small puppies in each bottle, but it'll depend on the size of the animal, hie conservative you are in how much you lather them with, and the seriousness of the ringworm. There's enough to treat 6-15 grown rats, that's for sure! I imagine this works just as well on any other small animal, and couldn't recommend it enough!

Immediately stopped itching!
This brand has been around for many years and it’s always been reputable for me & my dogs. I bought this because I know that miconozole works for athletes foot and or jock itch for humans. The 2% strength use to be by prescription only. it has been 2% “over the counter” percentage now for a long time! It works. it’s one of the strongest antifungal that is over the counter without a prescription. The men use it for jock itch in Lotrimin spray and cream. For dogs with canine warts it’s stopped the itching immediately and lasts between baths. I took one star off for the price. It tends to get very pricey if you have more than one dog.

A pet owner ‘must have’.
This soap works very well. No offensive odor like some anti fungal or anti microbials. Perfect to keep on hand for flare ups in domestic pets and horses. Works well after only a couple applications.

Works for ringworm
Treated our cat for ringworm with this shampoo. He had a 2 inch circular bald spot and a buch of small ones that were spreading down his back. Washed 3 times a week for the first 3 weeks then once a week after symptoms started improving. Took about 2.5-3 weeks for the fur to start growing back. This definitely helped our pet tremendously but be patient with the treatment.

awesome product
This shampoo has been a life saver. I had caught ringworm from a guinea pig, on my left palm, neck, and chest, which involved over-the-counter treatment with a miconazole anti-fungal product, but it also spread to 3 of my 4 cats, one just on her ear tips (she's only 5 and has a decent immune system still), and two moderately, my two oldest, mostly on ears, face, and front/hind legs. My dog was unaffected. Spot treatment would have been nearly impossible except on the cat with the affected ears, and I hunted for a miconazole shampoo (I was a vet tech in my early life!) for the other two, rather than resort to a lime sulfur treatment, which I had also purchased as the very last resort. I started the twice-a-week treatment in my large kitchen sink, with towels at the ready, and am about to do the 6th shampoo on each next week, and they are like new cats. Lesions have morphed into healthy skin, scratching, though minimal, has all but disappeared, and new fur is coming in. You also must, after lathering up thoroughly, let the shampoo sit on their skin for ten minutes, with lots of cooing and massaging from comforting fingers, as after all, they are cats, and baths are the enemy. By the 3rd or 4th shampoo, they quietly sat during shampooing. It smells good too. And far better than doing the oral medication which has side effects. I'll monitor them in the upcoming weeks, and I have plenty on hand with the 3 bottles I purchased (am just about to open 2nd bottle), and will definitely purchase more if needed.

To each their own. Didn't work for our dog's situation, but might for your situation!
Our 2 year old Rottweiler never had any allergies or any issues. She stayed with my family for about a month and a half and when we brought her home she had rash all over and smelled really bad like a sour smell. We tried to save ourselves some money by buying a medicated shampoo online, but the one we usually would get is no longer available without a prescription. So we tried this twice a week, leaving it on for 10 minutes before rinsinge, but after about a month nothing changed. It seemed to have aggravated the rash more so we made the vet appointment. Her vet actually stated the shampoo is of high quality and was surprised it didn't work. Her vet gave us a medicated shampoo and some antibiotics, which did the trick!
