I’ve been very impressed with this Wi-Fi water valve system. It connects seamlessly to my phone and allows me to remotely open or close the main water supply to my house, which adds a great level of convenience and control. I paired it with a compatible water leak sensor to create a smart leak detection system. I also integrated everything with Alexa, so if a leak is detected, Alexa immediately announces an alarm both in my home and on my phone. At the same time, the system is set up so the valve automatically shuts off the water supply—even if Wi-Fi or power is down—which gives me extra peace of mind. I’ve only been using it for a few months, so I can’t yet speak to the long-term battery life of the sensors. The valve itself is connected to a 110V power source but includes a backup battery to operate during power outages, which is a great feature. We bought the YoLink Hub + Sensor kit to monitor our attic water heater setup, including the T&P valve, cold water pipe, hot water pipe, and drain pan, as well as the water level in our basement sump area. So far it has worked very well. The biggest benefit is peace of mind. These are areas we do not check every day, so having reliable alerts makes a big difference. Setup was straightforward, the sensors connected without much trouble, and the system has been stable. Notifications have been timely, which is exactly what we wanted. This YoLink leak detection system has been reliable so far. The sensors are easy to set up, the battery life is excellent, and the app notifications work instantly. I also appreciate that it works with Alexa and other smart home platforms. It gives me real peace of mind knowing I'll be alerted if a leak happens, especially in my basement and laundry room. The only problem is that the hub needs to be connected via Ethernet, which limited where I could place it in my home.

Excellent product. Easy to set up and add additional sensor. I like how the app works and the extra details it gives you like the temperature of the sensors. Most importantly the zero fees for the app. No subscriptions! Highly recommended.

The setup for the hub and 4 water sensors was literally only ten minutes. The instructions are very clear and simple. I am so happy with this purchase. I was pleasantly surprised by the easy setup. General Info: 1) I suggest plugging the hub directly into your router for the easiest setup. As soon as you plug the hub into the router it automatically connects and the hub part of the setup is complete. The hub is very small and not bulky at all. 2) You have to download the Yolink app on your phone and then connect the app via wi-fi to your router. This only supports the 2.4 wifi. At that point you just scan a QR Code located on the sensor into the app on your phone and it is paired and ready to go. The sensors and hub use LoRa signal which means the batteries in the sensors last for 5 years and the hub and sensors communicate with each other up to a 1/4 of a mile. In other words at this point it's not using your normal wi-fi signal, it is using LoRa instead. The batteries are replaceable. You take off the 4 silicone pieces on the bottom of the sensors to reveal the 4 screws, take those off to replace the batteries. 3) If you don't want to plug the hub into your router you can make things easier on yourself. Initially plug the hub into your router and pair your sensors. Then unplug the hub from the router and move the hub to your desired location and the hub will have automatically obtained all the info/settings needed from your router so it will make the wi-fi set up easier. I can't imagine why a normal household would need to use the Hub wi-fi vs. just plugging into your router when you have a 1/4 mile range between sensors and the hub. 4) The sensors have no wires and work wirelessly (LoRa) communicating with the hub and are very easy to install. You can install the sensors in any direction because they have tiny water sensors built into the top and bottom. So, wherever the water is coming from, above or below, the sensors will detect it. 5) From the app you can setup multiple ways to receive alerts for free. I have app push notifications, text message and email alerts all setup to trigger at the same time. That offers great flexibility. I want to make sure I receive an alert if I have leaking water in my home so I like having different contact methods in case one isn't working at any given time. 6) One thing they don't mention that I love is from the app you can open your desired sensor and click on the three dots at the top of your screen which takes you to the specific sensor details and you can view the current temperature of the sensor. This is useful for me because I had an AC pan overflow so this way I can see if the temperature in my home is higher than it should be if my AC was running. Basically, I can see there may be a problem with the AC even before the water starts leaking out of the drain pan. 7) The hub can also handle over 200 different sensors connected to it at one time. They have endless types of different sensors so you can make your system as simple or complex as you wish. They even have water shut-off sensors and the app can handle if/then commands such as if any water sensors triggers then automatically shut of main water valve. So, you don't even have to worry about getting notified as your water will shut-off automatically. It's just nice to know you can build this system to endless possibilities.

Best leak sensor product ever! 👏👏👏 Received the set ontime, installation and setup was very easy, the hub connect to home WiFi quickly, sensors work perfectly. Tested water leak and the response was within 2-3 seconds. You get both SMS message and email notifications. I have several RING and Arlo cameras, none report Internet outage. But YoLink reports immediately of WiFi disconnections. Worth every penny!
