When I use it on a material of a known durometer it always reads really close to what spec that material says it is. I trust it, and now rely on it.

I misread the title it is only for plastics and rubber, it does not work for metal.

Stopped working after using it 1 or 2 times. The digital display just flashes in some non-operable manner. It's thrown in a drawer now for the length of ownership.

Great product. Arrive in great and great condition.

Works well. Good display size, you can clearly see the numbers without having to move around or get right next to it and potentially messing up the test.

So, the dial has to be viewable at eye level which most of the time is not practical. It's a bit of a "Hit an Miss" thing to get an accurate reading. It probably is accurate but without a test sample it's not possible to tell.
