Works ok on kayak
I bought this for use on a kayak with the idea of being able to remove it when not needed. It works ok for that purpose however it also does not stay in place in certain situations such as transporting or portageing the kayak.

Hanging on
Its made good as I can tell you. But I use mine on tractors, the pin type hold design not the best for that, might work good on one of my boats, but for tractor use I would get the wedge mount type style. After losing it a couple times and running it over, put a zip tie around the pin and mount, hasnt come off since.

A little cheap, but that's what I was expecting
For the cost, I wasn't expecting much, but this does work like it should. I purchased this to use, not on a boat, as other people will, but for mounting on a gaming seat (Play Seat) for a steering wheel setup. I wanted something to mount to hold my beverage while doing a little gaming, and if we changed the angle of the steering wheel platform, it would keep the drink level.Does exactly as I wanted and is large enough for about any drink. It should hold up fine for my usage, but overall, it is just plastic. It won't have any parts that will rust or corrode, so usage on a boat would be perfect.

Works, but falls out when blown by the wind.
Product was delivered on time and was as noted by others cheap plastic. Just what I had asked for. What I didn't expect was that it was easy to remove from the cradle that the unit sits in. My first trip to the lake one of the two that I installed did not make it - it simply must have been wind whipped around to the point that it fell out of its cradle and then blew out of my boat. Makes it nice and easy to install, but kind of silly to have it fall out. Now I have to take the one I have left out of the cradle and store it in a closed cabinet so I don't lose it. I think it would be fine for an application where you don't take it out "on the road" at all.

Does its job
My purchase was for a kayak. It won't be the most attractive thing, but it does its job, holds the bottle/can off the floor and within reach. Best feature is that the mounting hardware can remain while the actual cup holder can be removed if it is not needed.

It works
The mounting is not as good as the old "bar bouy" style but it works. It works well enough I will order a 2nd one.

Seem ok... so far
These were exactly what I was looking for design wise for my boat. I am a little bit skeptical about how long they will last though. The plastic does note seem as strong as it should be to hold a full drink. Installed 2 of them in my boat and will be giving them a test run tomorrow. Will update review after they get some use and I see how they hold up.*Update*These are holding up, but every once in a while the cup holder pops out of the u shaped piece it is connected to. They get the job done for the most part, but if you can find a better 1 that is a little more expensive, I would recommend going with that 1.
