Just what I needed!
My mother has one of these except hers is from the 1920's and says "Grease" on the side in raised bumpy, bruised letters. Hers has dents all over from years of moving and banging and using as...well, who knows what. That said...it works! It keeps her grease and it saves her sink from getting all clogged with grease and it provides bacon drippings for cooking which...yum! Which is why I bought one. Because Mom wouldn't give me hers...not nice! I received this the other day and I have to say mine is an improvement over Mom's because it has a little strainer that sits on top and takes out all the chunky bits. I wash that part in the dishwasher, and the rest of it keeps the strained grease and fits very nicely in the door of the fridge. I need to cook more bacon because I don't have nearly enough grease in it to use yet but I'm sure it'll get there. It's not anything exciting to look at, and it doesn't have any dents (yet) but it gets the job done quite nicely. I love that it's stainless steel...I feel like it'll harbor less bacteria that way, as opposed to ceramic or plastic.If you need something to stash your bacon grease in, look no further.

Food poisoning alert - this product is defective and is NOT stainless steel! See the pictures.
I bought this in March 2018 and it seemed to be fine. Less than 4 months later I notice that this stainless steel item is staining my countertops. I emptied it out and discovered that the supposed stainless steel is reacting to the bacon grease which ate a hole in the bottom! I want a refund!

Developed a hole and rust.
After I had this for about four months, I kept noticing that the outside of the bottom was greasy. I assumed it was because I had made a bad pour. Not so. It kept getting greasy on the bottom. I finally decided today to empty it and see if it had a hole. Sure enough, there is a small hole in the bottom of the container, and it is rusty.

The screen has started to rust. Clearly not made of high quality stainless steel. Of course I missed the return window.

Excellent quality and size.
I really love this. It's a nice size. There is plenty of room so I can stick my turner into it to scoop out whatever amount of grease I need. I use the strainer for other things because I like having the bacon bitties in the grease for when I make bacon popcorn. From time to time I set it on the heat and melt it so it settles the bits to the bottom. It fits nicely onto a middle shelf in the fridge. Stainless steel is the way to go. I really like the quality of this item.

I like to clean my fryer after every usage
Very much needed item in my household. I like to clean my fryer after every usage. So, I drain oil to this grease catcher and reuse olive oil for pan frying.Simple convenience and cool looking item. I am not sure about quality as I just bought it. Will update my review after a couple of months.

simple tool and works well with a minor flaw (IMO)
This is a simple tool and works well. The screen lays nicely on the rim and is designed to stay in the catcher so you don't have hunt it down.My only complaint is the lid doesn't fasten and it's not heavy enough to be secure.

Perfect for my needs
Perfect for my needs! If you need something bigger than this...you're cooking too much greasy food. lol I cannot put grease down the drain, so this comes in handy (I only use it for bacon grease) if I don't use the grease for cooking, I can easily take the cold grease and bag it for the trash.
