Cambrook - Caramelised Sesame Peanuts, 80g Bag

Delicious, crunchy, sweet, lovely caramel taste and perfect nuts. Just beware though there are some small lumps of stone hard caramel in the bag, not lots but maybe 2 or 3. I thought they were little stones at first. It would be very easy to break a tooth on them. I couldn’t crunch them down, I had to spit them out.

Cashews are usually a bit pricey, but the quality of these—well-coated and with nearly all arriving intact—makes them worth it. I’ll definitely be ordering again! I only wish they came in a 1 KG bag.

Lovely tasty cashews

I bought Cambrook Caramelised Cashews because I love caramelised nuts, but I usually only find them around Christmas. I was thrilled to discover this option on Amazon, available all year round. Pros: • Sweet and tasty, similar to the ones you find at Christmas markets. • Convenient availability throughout the year. • High-quality cashews with a perfect caramelised coating. Cons: • A bit pricey for the quantity. • High in calories, so moderation is key. Overall, a great treat for caramelised nut lovers, especially if you want them beyond the holiday season!

Have had other brands of nuts that are caramelised with sesame crust, so was delighted to find these. Alas they don’t deliver the mouth-popping delight we expected. Expensive for what you get, especially given the cost of such small bags. There is hardly any sesame on them AT ALL. Just a token amount. The caramelising seems to be more sugar than honey. With a lot of coarse salt which is weird.. Overall they taste more salty than anything. So basically these are very overpriced salted nuts, decorated with a few sesame seeds glued on with some sugar. Not enough to taste the sesame much. Some nuts in 1st bag were also bit dry and gritty to chew, not pleasant feel in the mouth. The nuts themselves maybe weren’t very fresh? Another issue is the ingredients list - the way they list things does not even add to 100%. Doesn’t make sense. Suspect the missing 30% must be mostly sugar (2nd ingredient on list) and coarse salt? - “peanuts 61%, sugar, sesame seeds 9%, honey, salt” (REVIEW EDITED after trying 2nd bag (different batch?) which seemed a lot fresher, so was not dry and gritty as originally described. Tasty and with a really nice crunch - enjoyable - though still saltier than would have liked) Summary: 1st bag gets 2 stars, 2nd bag gets 4 stars … so average of 3 stars.

These are so good! They aren't cheap, but as a special treat they are worth the money. You can tell the ingredients are top-notch and that they are made with care. I could eat these all day.
