Best hack
Our plumber told us we needed a new faucet, but suggested we look online because it would cost us hundreds to replace. Thank goodness we did as this was a mirror fraction of the cost. The color match was perfect and the installation was so easy. It’s very durable. The water flow works perfect

Crappy faucet
These faucets are made to slip over a smooth supply pipe that has no threads on the faucet end. Such pipes are not common where I live so I had to improvise to get it mounted on a standard threaded nipple which was included.

finally replaced the rocket faucet
I had a Price Pfister diverter that looked like the space shuttle lift off during my showering. Leaked about as much as the amount coming out of the shower head. Seemed silly to watch all that hot water fly down the drain without touching me. It was metal, threaded, so I ordered a replacement Pfister. It came in, plastic. Lead reduction act of blah, blah, so I sent it back. It didn't even tighten up to the wall since I was afraid if I turned too hard it would break. The search began. After a bit of googling and oogling, I decided what the heck, order this thing, cut off the stupid MPT extension coming out of my wall, leave about 2 inches of copper pipe, and do the ole slip on. Tadda. Works great. Lube the copper, and prepare for a bit of force to get the oring over the pipe. Barely drips at all when diverted to the shower. I'm loving it. And, if I ever need a replacment, the slip fit avoids all the "space" requirements of a threaded unit.

Works great for the price!
We struggled to find a spout that would match what we have in the shower/tub. This one was cheap, so we were worried, but it was easy to install and looks good.
