These are not oil-cured, but have some of the flavor elements of oil-cured olives that I am fond of. They are really quite large, and that makes for a very meaty olive. I have so far used them for salads and just for snacking, but I can envision them going into a pasta dish before I place my next order. I think they are wonderful olives, highly recommend them, and expect to be buying them again. Relative to prices for similar olives at local stores, these are a bargain with the added benefit of delivery to your door. As a note, more to desertcart or whoever provides the pricing information, someone should fix the information. If a single unit is $13.79, then it makes no sense that a 10-pack would be $777. desertcart has countless examples of such pricing errors, and no matter how many times you point them out, the information never gets fixed. Review: Great Value. Good Taste - Please compare apples with apples. Black Olive is not Kalamata olive or Kalamata style olive. Kalamata Olive is a type of olive that grows around the city of Kalamata in Greece, Golcuk, Karamursel. Gebze, and Bursa in Turkey. Kalatamata Olive is meatier and low in fat. Kalamata style, is a type of process where the olives are sliced on both side and kept in vine vinegar for a couple of days then given some additional flavor with lemon juice and olive oil. Black Olive is the same olive as Green Olive. Green is the color of the olive that is picked when the olive is not completely mature. When the Olive is mature, it color turns black. Kalamata Olive, Green Olive, and Black Olive, they all taste different. This product is Back Olive. As being someone who grew up eating Black Olive, I can tell that it's a good and the value for price is excellent. Are they better Black Olives? Yes. Of course. However, they are harder to find and they are more expensive. Like everything else when you look for one step one.

25 plus years of experience with these good olives
I normally have four or five kinds of olives open in my refrigerator at any time, from Morocco, France, Greece, and elsewhere around the Mediterranean. These Turkish black olives are probably my favorite of all of them. Great to eat as they are, and great cooked in everything from Moroccan tagines to Georgian lamb stews. They hang together well when cooked, and don’t get mushy or fall apart. The oil content is just right, as far as I am concerned, they taste great, and it’s rare to find one that hasn’t been cured correctly. They are packed up in a half dozen sizes, and in vacuum packed plastic tubs and in plastic canisters without brine. I can’t imagine getting tired of them; they have been a staple ingredient in my kitchen for a quarter of a century.

Worst olives I've ever eaten.
I love oil cured olives so when I saw this value price I ordered it immediately. It came as expected. I cut open the package wanting to just test some to see if it was too salty in which case I would wash them. BUT there was no salt, in fact no flavor of anything. It was absolutely totally unequivocally the worst I olives I've ever eaten. Completely BLAND, NO flavor. Even mushy So I transferred them to good container put some olive oil on it put in the fridge hoping that this will help. I do not have any hopes. I wish I could return it . Update: two days after receiving this I posted a notice to the seller via Amazon's system, telling him of my experience and hoping I could return it or at least get a refund. Well within 24 hours I got a response from them informing me that they will refund my money. And the very next day Amazon posted a refund. That is fantastic customer service. Yes!I did not have to return the item. Great customer service One further point I offer them to some other people and no one would eat them. If I could give it a minus rating I would do it I did soak it in olive oil to see if that would help – well it actually made it even worse brought out the extreme bitter flavor. As I could not return this I contacted the seller through the Amazon help and told them all about my experience. Hoping maybe for a refund. Well I'll tell you they did respond within 24 hours. That was quite amazing they said simply we are sorry for your experience and we will refund you completely, no need to return items. Within 24 hours I received notification from Amazon that there is a refund being deposited, by the seller. Very impressive. The olives are still crap

Quality product
Never had this type of olive before, but I like them. A little smallish, but the flavor is rich and rewarding. Use them in my daily salad after transferring them into clean pickle jars from the original package. I keep them refrigerated, although I don't know if that's necessary. They won't last too long around me anyway.

Great taste, great shelf life, great value!
I like Kalamata olives but I like the taste of these black olives even more. It's worth the little bit of extra time it takes to pit them, which isn't really hard - just squeeze them and the seed pops right out. They will keep a loooong time in the refrigerator, in an airtight plastic bag. The taste does not suffer from the storage. I eat them out of hand, or in salads. I even make an olive bread with them, yum yum! I have ordered them 3-4 times now and will order them again. The price is reasonable although it has gone up.
