I've brought this twice its so good !
This stuff is great! Not only does it keep nosey neighbours out during the day it makes my home look super fancy. Its super easy to apply literally takes 20 seconds to cover a window once you have done it once or twice. What i love about this product from this particular seller is that it comes with detailed instructions as well as a cute mini slicing tool, all you'll need is something to wet the windows with (i just used a cheap sponge) a ruler pen and scissors to cut to the size you need and a credit card or piece of cardboard to smooth it out. I use this in replacement of net curtains... so i can have this on the window and open the cutrains during the day and no one sees in and i can close my curtains at night when i have the lights on indoors.

Does what it's supposed to do.
A bit pricey for what u actually get, as it's just a roll of film. Application of film will no doubt cause many irritation, but with some patience and skill, once it's up it's pretty nice. Definitely works as a one-way mirror, as I tried to peek in from the outside, but couldn't see through. One can see thru it if you really try...but you have to go right up close and even then it's still quite shaded. If applied correctly, you can hardly notice that its there at all. Also lowers the amount of light coming into your room. Overall, I would recommend this product.

Good for privacy, effective for price.
Bought the film for a north-facing bedroom window. The lower panes in the window are low enough for houses opposite to see in. We have had to keep the curtains closed when getting changed etc.The end result is a room in darkness. This film allows keeping the curtains open during the day, as it pretty much stops any view in, as long as it is brighter outside than in. It's not an issue at night, as you'd close the curtains anyway. The first pane I did, I left a spec of dust, so I can still see it. I used a squegee on the 2nd window, before spraying more soapy water on both the window, and the film. Squeezed out excess bubbles, using a credit card wrapped in a micro-fibre cloth. Even so there seemed to be a bit of a bubbly finish when I was done. However, a couple of days later the end result is pretty flat. It's not 'optical quality', but it's good enough that we can't be bothered to order some sealed units with mirroring built-in. For the money. It's good.I see that some reviewers have had issues with the film falling off. I don't know if it makes a difference, but we did use a bit of washing up soap in our water (ecover)... about the same concentration as used for washing up. Also, we did push out the bubbles with the card.... maybe that also pushes out the water, when there are no bubbles. Equally, it could be variation in product quality. At any rate it's still attached well one week later, and that's even with a bit of condensation on the windows, as you'll sometimes get in the morning.

Not the best
Unfortunately after putting this product up on the window it does not give the privacy as described, had to take down , purchased privacy window film before from a different company and that was fine, quality not up to standard, I would not advise to buy this product in silver , maybe black or others work better ?

What a pain
I was quite excited about this produce as I live in an apartment with French doors that allow the sun into the living room all afternoon and evening, making the room unbearably hot during the summer. With that in mind I bought this.In short, putting the film on the window is quite straight-forward: remove backing, wet the film, wet the window, apply, smooth, and cut to size. The trouble is, however, that the stuff peels away from the window after about 24 hours. Came home yesterday to find that the film on one of the windows had peeled halfway down to the floor. It's now stuck back with cellotape around the edges, which is far from ideal. In relation to the 'smoothness' of the finish, don't expect it to be completely flat. I cleaned the window as thoroughly as I could, but tiny specks of dirt on either the window or the film meant that I have dozens of tiny - but very visible - bumps on the finish. It has the appearance of slightly textured glass when looking out through the window. So, how does it work? Well, when it's actually attached to the window, it makes a huge difference to amount of light coming in through the room. I placed my hand in the shaft of light coming through, and it was actually cool. 'That's weird', I thought. Then I touched the film itself and found that it was very warm to the touch. I guess that's the UVA filtering, meaning that infrared light is trapped/repelled. I guess that means that it 'does the job', but time will tell as we move toward summer (it's mid-May now)In all all, three stars - three for its efficacy, and zero for it actually staying put!

Thick and great quality
Finally, I have successfully identified the optimal window cover after evaluating three distinct options from various suppliers. This particular window cover stands out as the superior choice due to its exceptional quality and performance.

Great in the day, remember to close curtains at night
This product works a charm. It does reduce the light levels by quite alot so I have found I need lights on inside. However when there is little light outside you can see straight through clear as normal glass so don't forget about that. It's simple to apply use alot of water and soap then squeegee it dry sticks easily. Can be cut to fit any window shape.

It works
Works really good. Good mirror reflection. Privacy is good. When cutting use good pressure. Scratch resistance is good, because there are no marks from pet running up to glass.

Garbage
You cannot see out from inside ...it makes the whole window black! Could have taped a black Bristol board on the window for $1.50.
