These are a good buy, as not too expensive
This was purchased to wrap my rhododendrons, so the deer won't eat them. These are fairly large bushes and this covered them well. There is a drawstring on the bottom that can be cinched from both sides, with plenty of string leftover to tie to an adjacent tree, so the wind can't blow them off .. Also there is a metal button in the middle of the round material, so you can center it on the bush before cinching. The material is a heavyweight paper, and hopfully will last more than one season. These are a good buy, as not too expensive. I had used a previous brand featured in "Gardeners's Supply" catalog, but purchased them from a local greenhouse. They were discounted because they had dry rotted, and were beginning to tear at the folds. They had to be tied from top to bottom, and I had to rig two together to fit. Still a few leaves ended up sticking out and the deer managed to get them. Had to throw a few of them out this year as they were torn beyond use. These cover the bush completely, and look very neat in appearance. Hope they last.

When buying covers, don't underestimate size.
The concept is smart: a round cover for plants and shrubbery. Since most plants are round, a round cover makes sense.Just a couple of comments: size. When buying covers, don't underestimate size. You will be surprised just how much material it will take to cover shrubs. These photos will give you an idea of coverage. The privacy wall is about 5 feet tall. If you are going to err, choose a cover that is "too big."Draw cord along bottom of cover: Another plus for this cover. Each cover includes a draw string with 3 spring loaded clips. Unfortunately the clips slip easily, and will not hold in a 10 MPH wind. The simple solution is to tie a slipknot at the end of each cord.I am going to keep my fingers crossed, and hope that NuVue Products introduces a cover with a 20 foot diameter.

Material tore at grommets within the first 8 hours of use
Moderate wind tore the material away from the stake grommets. Had to use logs and rocks to hold down material. It did offer protection but the metal stakes and grommets are worthless.Let voicemail with customer service and never heard back.

Frost cover - Hld up well
Used to cover a full grown but dwarf lemon tree perhaps 8' tall & quite bushy. This was the largest size cover I could find; (stores only had 10 x12). The wrap held up well over about 5 days & is folded ready for next frost. The leaves not covered dried & fell off while the main leaves & fruit of the tree were fine. Appears pretty breathable as cover was left on tree for about 5 days due to difficulty to remove & put back on; definitely a challenge to put on with one person & wind. Could have used another 5-10' added to the 10' dimension as had to use this one & some other which covered most of the tree with both. For a small tree, will sew two together.

It's a great concept in theory...
We purchased two of these wraps to cover our fig trees over the winter. The wraps arrive as 'flat' - once you unfurl them into their circular shape, you can drape them over your plants and then use the drawstrings at the bottom to tighten up the loose fabric. It's a great concept in theory but unfortunately the trunks of our figs were rather small compared to the volume of fabric that was being cinched. The drawstring "pinchers" aren't strong enough to cinch so much fabric; in the first heavy wind, the string worked its way loose and both covers were blown off the plants, ripping in the process. We only had the trees covered for a week. :(This is an excellent product if you live somewhere (or your plants are somewhere) sheltered from the wind but it didn't work at all for us. Guess it's back to scratchy burlap!

So happy to have something so easy to use.
I have to be honest, when I received this item I was disappointed to see it only covered a 24x36” plant. You think 8ft would cover so much more. The plant I needed this for is much bigger than that but I decided instead of sending it back I would try it on a smaller plant. Not only is this cover better than the side wrap type I already have but it took me half of the time to secure and looks great! Highly recommend and I have already ordered more to replace the side wraps one.

Harmful to shrubs
This product essentially killed a very healthy Japanese yew that we wanted to protect from deer and rabbits over the winter. I followed the instructions exactly, and tolerated the bright blue-green color all winter long expecting my tree to emerge healthy after the long winter. I was dismayed to find the tree completely yellowed and dying after the winter even though the product appeared undamaged. I contacted NuVue customer service via email but received no response.I would not recommend this product.

Disappointed.
Unfortunately the shrub cover couldn’t stand up to 30mph winds. Although I put rocks to hold down the shrub cover, the wind blew the cover off and ripped it from the grommets. Most of the grommets broke and the shrub cover is shredded. Worked well until the first real winter storm. Disappointed in the purchase and would not recommend.
