500 Handmade Books Volume 2 (500 Series) Paperback – September 3, 2013

Some really beautiful handmade books.This book has great inspiration but no instructions. If you are looking for instructions you won't find it here. There are other books out there with clear instructions for making.

Okay, this is not a book about techniques but about how other people go about interpreting the book making techniques into their artistic endeavours. My only regret is that the photos aren't larger but to cover the 500 books it would mean many trips to the gym so you can lift the book. I can look through it time after time and always get some new idea or inspirations from it.

I love this book with the different kind of bookbinding. There are some amazing ideas!

Hello! I' m Ilustration's student, so I'd like so much books about art, draw, handmade papers and books etc.This is an incredible book: the pictures, information about it, binding, printing quality..... All book is a treasure to be in a library!Is important to my carrear (Ilustration) because I can see some ideas, for example, to my presentation work, kind of paper to be used in a proyect .and different elements to join in a proyect.

It's like a 415 page museum of the most beautiful handmade books you'll probably ever see. But you won't get any help with making your own. The photographs might give you an idea for a structure that would work for something you have in mind. But you won't learn a thing about how to make them. If you know how to make a star-book, a Chinese sewing box, a double concertina, a double tunnel, or a flexagon - you're going to love this. If you were hoping for help with learning those, it's not in this book.

Love bookmaking and this book is full of ideas and inspiration. A great gift for any artist in your family that would like to learn about all the different ways of bookmaking and it's practice.

I make my own pop-up books. I purchased this book to give me more ideas or to help with the ideas I already have. It is always helpful to get inspiration from others to help in my projects.

Dieses Buch habe ich mir rein für's Auge, zum Betrachten, Bestaunen gekauft.Es enthält eine Vielzahl (eben 500) von traumhaft schönen, handgemachtenBüchern, Büchlein. Jedes ein Unikat, jedes anders.Wer vertieftes Interesse an Büchern, Gestalten, Kreativität...........hat, isthier richtig. Es sind Kunstwerke, nachahmen übersteigt mein Können,obwohl einige mich zu neuen Taten angeregt haben.Manchmal brauche ich einfach ein Buch, dessen Inhalt meine Seele erfreut.Dann erfüllt es seinen Zweck immer und immer wieder.

A brilliant and inspiring book for artists or for anyone who loves making books. So many ideas, so inspirational. Every art college, library, illustrator, artist should have one on their bookshelf. The second volume is better than the first. Be careful though, keep it under lock and key. Everyone wants to take mine.
