Best quality canned Italian plum tomatoes
These are the best quality canned Italian plum tomatoes I have come across - and I have tried many brands. Bursting with flavour, intact tomatoes, thick juice, perfect. The delivery was delayed by 2 weeks for unknown reasons. However, as compensation, the Seller included a bottle of olive oil and a jar of passata. The first time I bought these tomatoes from this Seller the delivery was prompt.

Genuine San Marzano Tomatoes with the DOP stamp!
Ignore the bad reviews!During lockdown I’ve been trying to master the Neapolitan Pizza. You HAVE to use San Marzano tomatoes for the sauce. The taste difference with these compared to budget supermarket or top supermarkets like Waitrose does not compare!!The flavour of these tomatoes are perfect, they are very sweet and have an amazing flavour. The flavour comes out when you cook the sauce, but don’t over cook it!For anyone interested, when I make my pizza sauce, I don’t pre cook the tomatoes, I simply remove the tomatoes from the tin and I strain all the juice out. I use a thick strainer then a thinner strainer to ensure I get every bit of goodness out the tin. Then hand crush! Do not use a blender as you do not want to break the seeds - otherwise you will get a bitter flavour. To flavour the tomatoes, add salt, pepper, fresh chopped up basil, dried oragano! That’s all! Hand crush, mix and top on your pizza. When you put in the oven, it will cook the sauce. No pre cooking needed. I use an ooni oven.

You must experience
These tomatoes are of the highest quality so not cheap. But once you have had them you won’t go back to the 32p tin.

Excellent tomatoes
Excellent tomatoes - I only gave 4 stars because a few cans were damaged and the contents had gone bad. See photo. Being from Italian origin - I know my tomatoes though and these are really good. They have very nice balance of sweetness and acidity and make excellent pasta sauce.

Fantastic tasting tomatoes.
A little expensive but the flavours come throughPerfectly. A few steps above good supermarket ones. Recomended buy

Quality disappointing
I was expecting high quality tomatoes (given the reputation of the San Marzano variety), thinking I'd only have to trim off the woody bit near the stem. But there was a lot to cut away from these - tomato skin, bits that looked highly unappetizing or were hard, yellow or quite stringy...what I am used to seeing in bargain grocery store brands. I made a pasta sauce with the tomatoes I deemed edible, and the taste was very good so three stars for flavour.

Italian quality
I mixed these tomatoes with coriander, oregano, garlic and what a delicious taste was created. Very Italian and much better than using the leather skinned fresh tomatoes in shops at the moment. I toasted bread in olive oil and garlic and spread the tomatoes on top . Yum yum

Worth the cost compared to regular products
These were recommended for use on homemade pizzas by a professional Chef and they are indeed superior, especially in terms of flavour. The coating of the inside of the can means that all residual juices can be used by mixing with a very small amount of water.
