Just the job
Stripped the thread on an aluminium oil sump, result drips and google price of a new sump, eeeks! Used the M13 1.5 tap on the worn M12 1.5 thread, first time tapper so a bit anxious but super easy, used grease on tap to pick up the odd metal shaving and flushed through 1/2 l of oil to be sure of no contamination. Job done , no more drips.

Worked for me.
Re tapped my son's KTM sump to next size up and it worked a treat, only thing was had to use 2 sealing washers as original counterbore was not a big enough diameter to accept new sump plug.
