These Matlow's mints are one of the few hard candies out there made with real mint oil, rather than mint flavoring. I initially starting buying these a few years ago because they are dye free and they quickly became the mint of choice in my household. I find that they have just enough mint to give you a bit of that refreshing "cool" feel, but not so much that they make your mouth tingle. They are definitely on the sweet side, but the real mint oil balances that out to create what I find to be a nice, smooth, refreshing taste. That said, they are pricey, likely because they are made in the UK and therefore need to be imported, but the quality is high and each mint is generously sized, so they last a while. They also seem to help soothe the stomach. Overall I would recommend these to anyone looking for a dye-free, hard candy with real mint oil rather than just flavoring.
