This mandolin works so well for perfectly, even slices
Love this mandolin slicer. I like that the "knob holder" keeps your fingers up and away from the blade as you slide/slice. Adjustable thicknesses..easy to change size and slices beautifully. Good quality and easy to wash. Way easier than trying to evenly hand slice! Good value!

Meal prep with ease!
VERY SHARP! I love this little work horse! The first day it arrived, I washed it up and used it for many vegetables for freezer meal prep. When I thin sliced onions, I had to look to see if it was actually cutting because it was so smooth! I sliced carrots, zucchini, tomatoes, potatoes, cucumber, celery, etc., all with equal ease. I really like the slots at the bottom that fits on the edge of a bowl, and the non slide rubber feel feet that helps it to not slide on your work surface. Great kitchen tool!

Almost great, still better than most.
Oxo is great and usually I have no complaints about anything they make but this one isn’t my first love. I still think it’s worth getting though. PROS: compact size and sure grip and bowl notch make it perfect for small veggies and the adjustable thickness feature allows for some control over thickness of your slices that you don’t get on a fixed platform. The clear plastic bit that adjusts the thickness comes all the way up to the level of the blade when locked so with that and the grip tool firmly clicked into place it’s nearly impossible to cut yourself reaching for it. CONS: the small size makes it really difficult to cut potatoes or other larger format veggies. You can do it but it isn’t going to be as even or pretty as a larger mandoline. The adjustable clear ramp doesn’t lock in it’s respective levels so it can flop around a little causing uneven slices from time to time. It isn’t as easy to clean and dry as some larger mandolines I’ve used (swiss borner being my favorite personally) but that’s a matter of efficiency to me but does make me worry about hygiene a little. It’s a good 8/10 for a small hand held mandoline and certainly worth getting. I have not found myself using the adjustment feature often because the “thickest” slice is actually pretty thin so if you wanted really delicate slices on veggies this might actually be a bonus for you since it can go even thinner.

Good Value -- saves time and creates slices of uniform size
Outstanding product, performs as advertised. Be aware: 1. the blade is VERY sharp (I nicked my finger) so use the included accessory to hold the veggies when they get small, and 2. even at the thickest setting, the slices are VERY thin.

Best mandoline slicer ever!
3rd one we ordered - that should say something. We literally wore out the other one after 9 years and bought a second one. At Christmas, I always bring the salad and everyone is amazed by how thin and perfectly we slice carrots, radishes, celery, etc - it's the mandolin. We use it all the time. 3rd purchase - a gift for a fellow foodie. Wouldn't give as a gift it we didn't love it. Years and years ago we had one with the box thing under it, and it was so complicated to use that we sent it packing to the thrift store. This is easy and it's really sharp. Love OXO Good Grips.

Great slicer
Works great plus adjustable to accommodate different widths when slicing vegetables like zucchini.

OXO brand mandolin
It’s OXO quality! The blade is extremely sharp so remember to keep it locked when not in use! I’m so glad it has that option. Assembly was a breeze, it took no effort at all. I love that it has three thickness levels. I can make my very thin apple slices for my apple roses, medium or thick slices for potato, carrots, celery, onions, etc for casserole or scalloped potatoes. It’s very versatile, easy to clean, extremely sharp, and can be used for an endless possibility of things to make a variety of delicious meals or desserts. It’s not just a mandolin, it’s an OXO brand Mandolin.

With a 7.3 cm blade it is too small for beefstake or hierloom tomatoes.
For the record I am reviewing the: OXO Good Grips Handheld Mandoline Slicer for Kitchen, Adjustable Vegetable Slicer Size 29 cm x 9.5 cm I have had several mandolines over the years. The bulky metal one with the folding legs was way too unstable and the bottom part actually bent, so not only was it useless , but the instability made it hazardous to use. I had a set of them that I bought at a county fair, a German brand, and they have lasted for 33 years. But now the blade has finally gotten so dull that it will not cut a tomato. So, after looking at several here I decided to try this one, I only needed it to cut tomatoes and onions for burgers and sandwiches. This Mandoline is not big enough to cut a beefsteak tomato, and forget about a large onion. Yes it is sharp, yes it is easy to use, yes I like the handle. But if you want to cut anything other than a cucumber, carrot, or some other small vegetable you are not going to be happy with this one. This is probably my fault for not visualizing on a tape measure how small 9.5 cm actually was. Also, the description tells you the overall width, the actual blade with is only 7.3 cm. I know because I measured it. So, be aware if you only need a small vegetable cutter, you will probably do well with this one. But if you need to cut hamburger size beefsteak tomatoes or large onions, chose a different one.

Idéal pour faire des coupes ultra fines

Absolutely fabulous. I've owned other slices before which were good, but this one takes the cake. The slicing thickness is very easy to adjust and the blade is super sharp, so it even does tomatoes easily. Always use the holder! It slices so very quickly you could cut yourself badly if not using the holder.

This mandolin has made cutting vegetables for my dehydrator such a breeze Pros: -the blade is very sharp and cut through the veggies fast and efficiently - the handle on the part that helps hold your veggies in place is very comfortable on your hands. It has little spikes on it so that your veggie can stay in place as you slice through it - I appreciate the visual illustration to determine the size of a cut you would like for your veggies, as opposed to a numerical value. It is easier to see exactly how thick I would like something instead of guessing what it would look like. - the thickest setting (as shown in the last photo) is just big enough. -the handle locks into place on the mandolin so you do not lose it while it is in storage Happy with this mandolin!

Great little mandolin. I'm not sure why people are so surprised they can cut themselves when they use this - it's literally a tool for slicing vegetables quickly and easily, it should be obvious that if it cuts a vegetable it will cut your hand. That being said, it's a really good slicer for its price. The thickness options are good and easy to change between, the thinnest is thinner than I expected given theres only 3 options, and its ridiculously easy to clean. I have one of the bigger ones with a box underneath that has all the different chopping attachments that I mostly just use as a mandolin and I wanted one to keep in my locker at work to be able to take healthier meals in as I work shifts, and if it wasnt for the fact that I want to still use the other chopping attachments I would bin that one and get another of these, as this is far superior.
