but it is good to realize this is not as good an insulator ...
Heat Resistant is a key phrase. The heat gets through if you are holding the item for more than just enough time to move it from one place to another. I grabbed a small pan from the toaster oven and was trying to decide where to set it. The heat started to come through the glove by the time I made up my mind. You won't get burned because you will feel the heat coming through and certainly put down whatever you picked up, but it is good to realize this is not as good an insulator as a regular oven glove. It is however, MUCH better for picking up stuff that you need fingers, or a better grip. So, I am happy with the purchase.

A good glove, be careful not to get it wet
My only problem with this glove is a simple one... if it gets wet (as when I'm cleaning the griddle) the heat comes thru almost as if I'm not wearing a glove at all. You can be sure I get it off quickly. Besides that, I use this glove to open a hot smoker door, when I scrape a griddle, when I carry hot pans of fresh cooked burgers or briskets.

Does the job
