this item is for measuring %of moisture in all kinds of lumber and firewood. i am sure it could tell you the % of moisture ....but you know you have moisture .... save your money and i am afraid that the only way to solve this is to tear into the wall ..fix leak.. repair wall.

Dear customer, C is the setting for silky oak. You can find the user manual on product guides and documents.

Since silky oak is not the same as hardwwod oaks (such as pin oak, which is what I have), which is the proper calibration code for hardwood oaks?
