Remote Sensing Guide
Needed it for a course, but it has come in handy multiple times!

Bit dated, but very useful.
Like the title says, some of the subject matter can be a bit dated, in terms of ecology or current events. This is very useful for basic understanding of how images are used/interpreted in a remote sensing perspective, as well as the math behind it. Many views of statistical analysis as well. I Used it for a junior level university course and kept it based on the subject matter and refer to it every once in while.

Cheap paper for a book about Images
This book is a cheap version, which is frustrating. This book was EXPENSIVE ($170). I am disappointed because I borrowed the exact same text from my school's library, and the pictures are shiny and bright---the print quality is impressive--on THAT book. Beware of the company that is trying to pass off a cheap copies on Amazon. I'll just give my money to our school's bookstore.
