The Unexpected Champion

This was the third book in the series! So many exciting things I could not put it down! Start with book #1 .....it's a great series from a fantastic author!

This book and the two that came before it were magnificent! Full-on danger, lots of courage, settlers, miners, bad guys, heroes, and heroines! Lovers, babies, gold, and let's not forget indigenous people, shotgun weddings, all thrown to make the best Western I have read in a long, long time! Thanks Ms Connealy for making this the best week in a long time! Great great reading!

Loved the adventure through the story. Although at one point the statue of liberty was referred to, in a sentence, of course did not exist yet in the story line. It was still a good adventure following Penny who was a true frontiers women and John the hired detective. Enjoyable read with a little family craziness mixed in.

Mary Connealy writes books that make you laugh and cry. Great job Ms. Connealy. I enjoyed the High Sierra Sweetheart’s series so much

I love her use of history wound through a spiritual lifestyle of faith that got amazing people through some really tough times.

I enjoyed all three books, but the third was definitely my favorite. Lots of laughs and just plain fun! I plan to read more from this author.

The storyline draws you in, and you get to know the people. I can almost picture in my mind what they all look like! I can't wait to read about how they live in the West! The only thing I don't like is that I'm losing sleep because I can't stop reading!! Lol

I just love all of Mary Connealy's book's , I think I've been fortunate enough to have found her. It's hard to find a book that's not loaded with violence and sex. But Mary's books are wonderful.

Think this was my fav book in the series and was a good round up of what had happened throughout the three books. Loved the banter between Penny and John.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book. It was filled with action and a budding romance that began with a man calling a lady a pretty child-stealing pest. This was a clean, engaging book with a few twists thrown in. I would highly recommend it.

Finally, all the loose ends tied up. It was a great and enjoyable read. Really liked Penny and John, they were fun together; as well as very gifted. What a great ending to the whole story.
