Easy install, affordable.
I own a 2001 Chevrolet Silverado. While checking my oil I noticed smoke coming from the oil dipstick and fill tube. Ordered this and install was simple, took about 5 minutes and requires no tools except an 8mm socket to take the plastic engine cover off.My old PCV valve was of the rattle variety and was plugged up with oil and moisture. This is a fixed orifice design and is apparently supposed to reduce oil consumption.I recommend this as a preventative maintenance item and a potential solution to PCV-related issues.

Will work for 2003 Chevy Silverado
Amazon will state that this will not work for a 2003 Chevy Silverado 5.3 V8. It will 100% fit and it does come with a PCV Valve installed in it. Took me less than 10min to remove the old one and put the new one in. I highly recommend taking a drive around the block to warm up the tube before removing the old one to get it to slip off easier. I had to use some pliers and carefully twist and slide it off without braking the plastic nip; if you do then JB Weld is your friend but again really easy to replace and takes about 10min or less to do if you know what your doing.

Excellent tune up replacement
Exactly matched OEM part. Fit and functions as expected. Replaced 20 year old original tube. Hope I get 20 years out of this one as well.

Worked great on my 2001 6.0L Silverado
Replaces the old variable port design with a fixed port design. It should help with oil consumption.

Fake PCV valve.
The “PCV valve” included with this hose is not a real PCV valve. It’s just a hollow canister with a hole in it. Assuming this is a knockoff GM part.
