Denise interchangeable crochet hooks use and review
Sorry for the long winded post.. I’m in love with these hooks. I’m new to Tunisian (Been crocheting for 30+ years wanted to learn something new). first I started with the bamboo ( they are cheap and lightweight but throat part wasn’t for me) so then I went to the metal which are great but a pain/awkward if not using the whole hook and being new I was looking for smaller projects. Brings me to these I got the first set the larger size and then the smaller size set. Along the way saw double ended patterns while looking up Tunisian so I got gifted another whole complete set. (Works because I have multiple project tote bags lol)These glide smooth for me. Being I was use to regular crochet hooks you have to get used to the cable flipping around. Smooth sailing from there. Only thing I might would change is maybe make the hook a little longer so they could be dual purpose. They are about 4. 1/2 long and a regular crochet hook is about 6. To me feels weird when trying to use for regular crochet projects.

Easy change Tunisian set!
I bought this set because it is a pretty complete interchangeable crochet set at an affordable price. It’s not quite as sturdy as more expensive sets but it serves its purpose with multiple extensions that are easy to change. My main problem with the set is the relatively short shank on the hook portion. I have yet to do a big project with it but I think this set will be worth every cent I spent on it.

Cord connectors don't stay connected.
I love the hook part. They are deep enough the yarn doesn't fall off as you pull through, this ease of use speeds up my work. I don't like the cord connectors which are used to join 2 cords to make a longer cord. On my heavy 131 stitch row, the twisting of the worsted weight yarn, untwists the connection and it comes apart dropping stitches. The good news is Denise makes longer cords, so I suggest you do that instead of connecting shorter cords. I also noticed the J hook is slightly slimmer than the J hook of the set I was using. Which is the correct size I am not entirely sure, but it seems the Denise hook is slightly off. I compared it to a couple of regular hooks as well, all were just slighly larger than the Denise hook. Since I use the hook that gives me the gauge I need regardless of the label, that doesn't bother me. I mentioned it because it might bother some. The J is the only one I have used so I can't speak to the size of the other hooks. The yarn seems to slide better over the Denise cords better than the sets I was using, therefore, I spend less time adjusting the stitches on the hook and cord on the return row, speeding up my work. For the cost, these are great hooks.

Best Tunisian hooks ever
Very good quality Tunisian hooks. As you see in the picture my project turned out great with these hooks. They're easy to snap together and they never come undone during a project. Best value ever.

Hooks Too Short
I like how they are smooth and work well, my chief complaint is that the hooks are too short and make my hands hurt. It means that I cannot crochet as long. I hope they take this advice and create longer hooks. I do not think I’ll keep these hooks because of that and I’ll be looking for something like these again but longer hooks for comfort

A great set of Tunisian crochet hooks
I love my Denise interchangeables. They feel good in my arthritic hands, they didn't cost a fortune and it is a family owned business. While the sizes don't go too small I usually don't go that far down either. If you are looking at interchangeable needle sets keep Denise in mind.
