Large Cost Wise Dog Bath/pool/tub with drain plug ideal for spaniel sized pets,drain plug connect to hosepipe,keeps mess out of the bathroom(73x41x28cm)

We have a dog which my wife paid to have transported from Greece. Sadly Lucy arrived with a fungal skin infection which may be ringworm and as such she has required system treatment in the form of tablets and also requires to be bathed twice a week and treated with a topical anti fungal shampoo. I chose this bath based upon price and positive reviews. I have not been disappointed. The bath is sturdy and bearing in mind the temperatures in November, I have found that we can fill the bath 3/4 full and bathe her in our heated garage. A nice feature is the drain/fill hole in the base of the bath which I connect a garden hose to using a standard snap connector, fill the bath to 40 litres with cold water using an external tap and hose, leaving only 20 litres of hot water to be carried through. I leave the host connected, using the tap to retain the water in the bath. The bath is large enough to accommodate Lucy at 23kg, ensuring that we have sufficient water to soak her, apply the shampoo and treat her for 10 minutes and then rinse her off using the 60 litres in the bath. Emptying the bath is simple, disconnect the hose from the outside tap, turn the tap at the bath end to on and the bath empties slowly. I tend take the bath outside to empty out the last 10 litres or so. Nice item. Ideal for dogs and good value at less than £30.00

Needs a plug at bottom to make it the perfect dog bath! Springer loves. Never have to use shampoo on her, straight in here (outside), towel down in she comes.

Perfect size for my pooch (as per picture). I bought this as we only have a shower cubicle and fed up keep having to shower with my dog. This bath feels sturdy and perfect for the job. It has a drain hole which has been fitted with a hose type connector with a valve (if reversed it would be possible to fill this tub with a standard hose). The thing to note is the seal of the drain connector is NOT tight enough, nor could it be tightened enough to make it seal properly and therefore slightly leaks. Doesn't matter to me as my pooch will always be bathed outside but for anyone wanting to use this indoors you could find yourself a puddle. It would be very easy to purchase some plumbing seals which would most certainly improve the leak. Another concern would be that if you have a lively pooch who doesn't particularly like bathing there could potentially be injury to the dogs feet if they got caught on the internal tap/drainage. Overall I am extremely pleased with this tub.

Dog bath is of a good size for washing my cocker spaniel dog when she comes back from a muddy walk. It is strong and the valve for emptying the bath is very handy. Ideal bath to use when there is a water hosepipe ban in place.

Great value having looked at ceramic and S/Steel options. Built it into a frame with shelf and it does a good job. Only issue was the drain tap being on the side leaves up to 1.5 inch of water in the bottom so a trip to B&Q for a simple sink waste, plug and trap, cut a hole in the bottom and connected up to nearby drain and now it empties completely. Dog is quite happy in it and so all round very pleased with the outcome. No back breaking and puddles on the lawn!
