It worked
This stuff works. I crocheted a chenille Afghan for my husband. He decided to take it into the basement to put on his chair in front of his computer. At some point, it ended up in the dog bed. It smelled so incredibly bad. I washed it twice with Febreze over remover. It still stunk. I washed it once with zero odor, laundry odor eliminator, and the smell is completely gone.

Great product
Works great. Leaves my clothes smelling very fresh. Also takes away any nasty smell that it had previously.

WORKS on perfume & other gross scents from thrifted clothes
I thrifted two super cute clothing items that unfortunately smelled awful upon arrival. One smelled like the previous owner had submersed it in nasty old perfume, and the other item smelled like that horrific chemical fabric softener that stays in your clothes forever. The scent was so pungent, it was giving everyone in our house a headache. I tried EVERYTHING: soaking the garments in vinegar, sprinkling with baking soda, washing with OxyClean, hanging in the sun, enclosing in a ziplock with a bunch of dry Lipton tea bags for a week. Nothing, and I mean NOT A DANG THING, would even touch the smell emanating off these clothes. As a last resort, I bought this Zero Odor laundry booster. It took two full washes (8 oz in total of Zero Odor) to remove the perfume scent out of the first garment, and three washes (12 oz of Zero Odor) to remove the cheapo chemical fabric softener scent out of the second garment. This stuff WORKS. I can now wear my thrifted clothes!

Mold be gone
Updated review 5/13/25 It’s been 3 years since first trying Zero Odor and I now have most of their products! We now live on the second floor with laundry access in the basement. We have 2 large dogs, 4 cats, I work in emergency vetmed now, and my husband sweats a ton with all of his working out. I put a little squirt of this stuff in with every load and it takes care of any yucky smells every time! I have their pet and litter odor sprays now and they work great. They have a slight bleach smell that my cats are attracted to, but there have not been any adverse effects from using it! Get this- you won’t regret it! ————————— Original review: We live on a third floor walk up with shared laundry between 24 units. There are some stanky looking people in our complex so I’ve opted to launder by hand. I’ve got a good set up with a large plastic tub, laundry wand and salad spinner to save my wrists from all the wringing. This is a tedious but it works and our clothes come out nice and clean. The issue I ran into recently though was when I had a particularly stinky load to deal with that I left soaking for a day- I had all intentions of finishing it the next day but unfortunately caught the dreaded ‘rona. That bin sat for over 5 days, I wasn’t even strong enough to just dump the water. I tried soaking in vinegar, then baking soda, then oxiclean but to no avail. The moldy mildew smell lingered. I bought this with little hope but thought it was worth a shot. The bottle came in today, I wringed out the stinky oxiclean load and filled up my bin with detergent and 2oz of this Zero Odor. It’s been sitting for half an hour now and I went to test smell a sock. To my delight- the nasty, stanky, moldy smell is GONE. I’m also a server in a hibachi restaurant, and my shirts always have a mild oil/food smell even after multiple soaks and through cleaning. I checked my shirt and that hibachi smell is eliminated!! What a relief. This product is expensive for the volume but worth every penny and then some. I will always keep a bottle on hand for times like this, but will definitely avoid letting laundry sit like that again. I will recommend this product to anyone who brings up laundry.

Works sorta
This does work in my laundry. But I washed the item with this laundry cleaner it worked but I had to use a huge amount to get the odors out of my blanket. I first washed the blanket in cold water with the lowest amount of this cleaner. Used heavy duty cycle. OK dried but still smelled really bad. Ok next wash was right after the dryer stopped. Ok this time a half cup cold water and heavy duty cycle. The blanket came out a little less smelly. The final time I soaked the blanket 3 hrs with the laundry odors remover and then ran it with laundry cleaner and half the amount of laundry soap I used tide free and clear. Used cold cycle. It finally was very less smelly. The blanket was usable again. I did dry it on high heat in dryer on a very long dryer cycle. I have used this laundry cleaner other clothes that have body odor and used the smallest amount that is suggested on the bottle and it worked the first time. But I agree it is slightly expensive but it did get the odors out of my clothes so I did not have to replace clothes so I would recommend it.

Good, wish it was more for the $
This works for a hard working man's laundry! Only complaint is a dose is 2 ounces---4 ounces if extra smelly. The bottle is 16 ounces . I'd like to get more for the cost. But you do end up with fresh laundry. I found spot treating rather than squeezing it into the machine's dispenser made it useful and more budget friendly.

Game Changer!
My towels kept stinking and it made me crazy. I run “self clean cycles” on my washer whenever my machine requests it and I leave the door open between cycles so no stinky, moisture buildup happens. I also tried several other detergents/cleaners including rinse & refresh, oxi powder, plant based soap, etc, but nothing worked until this! I started using less detergent and added just a couple ounces of Zero Odor per wash and finally, my towels don’t stink anymore!! Zero Odor makes them smell like nothing vs moldy, if that makes sense. Game changer for our household and I will be ordering more!
