Guineas like it
I switched to these pellets because I wanted to feed the girls something premium. They also didn’t really care for the previous brand. They seem to like this better. They’re well-nourished and healthy on this feed, so I’m going to stick to it. It’s to supplement hay, fruits, and vegetables.

Good idea
Seems like a good idea but both my pigs actively dislike it. Even when mixed 50/50 with the cheaper stuff the pigs pick out these pieces to ignore.

Quality ingredients and they didn't skimp on the vitamin C! Guinea's are enjoying it.
I got this food specifically because like humans, guinea pigs require vitamin c. This was one of the few foods that I noticed already had an ample amount mixed into the food at 475 mgs per pound, and it's stabilized. It's one less thing I need to worry about. Surprisingly, many people don't realize that scurvy is super common in guinea pigs.I usually aim for around 90 mg per day or a little more in the feed. A good, healthy pig would need a minimum of 90, but could utilize as much as 150 a day depending so, really, this is a great food to get. The price can be off-putting, but the idea of locally sourced and non GMO appeals to me. It's soy free, and suitable for any age pig.Really, the vitamin C is what drew me in. It's hard to find stabilized so it doesn't break down to so quickly. I didn't mind splurging on this for that reason. The chunks are a nice size and my pigs seem to really enjoy eating it. There isn't any added color or fluff in the food either for them to pick around. This is hay, and they eat it as well as any other brand I've given them. As a note - this is not rabbit food and shouldn't be used as such. I know the jury is still out, but this has a fair amount of vitamin C in it, and could cause kidney stones for bunnies. My two little oinkers are happy to have it and there wasn't any fluff in it. The ingredients are solid. I think it's a fair price for non-GMO and such nice ingredients. Pleasantly surprised. I weighed it in bag and it was 10.2 lbs so probably close to actual 10 lb of weight in food in the bag.

Our guinea pig loves it
The very first thing I noticed upon opening the bag was how fresh the aroma is. It smells of greens, grasses and hay. The pellets are just the right size and easy to dispense and use in feeders. They hold together and do not fall apart easily. Our guinea pig went straight to them and eats them readily. This seems a more premium quality feed than the others we have been purchasing prior to receiving this sample. I will be using this feed moving forward. We supplement with fresh fruits and vegetables to add additional vitamins and minerals to our guinea pigs diet. We especially add fresh foods high in vitamin C. I think this is an excellent daily feed for any guinea pig. I am glad to have been made aware of it.

Disappointed with this order!
I was disappointed to see the box was filled with pellets! Usually when you order it's in a bag..not this order! So I had to repackage it to keep it fresh for my Guinea Pigs! Not sure I order this again!
