My 5 year old does love the set but I don't see it lasting very long if you have a Dr enthusiast child who plays with this daily for more than a few months. The variety is great and has so many pieces. I actually put half of it away to "freshen up" the set periodically because all the pieces don't fit back in the carrying box and I see many of the small pieces breaking or getting lost real easily. It did raise many questions for my 5 year old because it has more than just your typical play Dr pieces! All in all he and I are pleased with it but it's just not made to last....

Bought a smaller doctor kit that my daughter liked but didn’t come with a bag. Purchased this set for her and now this is all she plays with and when she’s done it can all be neatly put back in the box. Nothing has broke and she plays rough great set!

I am a child therapist . . . so remember I am looking for durability and functionality for kids with medical trauma.Positive1) Lots and lots of pieces, including an oxygen tank and face mask; an IV stand and bag; and a blood pressure cuff (I was surprised how many sets did not come with the blood pressure cuff).2) Everything that was supposed to do something did.3) I read some reviews that said that they could not get everything back in the case; I was prepared to leave out the dental tools, as I don't really care about them, but I was able to get everything back in. I am a careful packer, however. Do not expect your 3-5 year old to be able to do it by themselves.Negative1) Everything being out of scale bugged me (the pill is bigger than the IV bag, etc. My kids probably won't care, however so not a deal breaker.2) My oxygen bottle arrived crushed. I was able to push most of the denting out, and reshape, but it still has one small dent on the side of the bottom that I could not fix. Again, I don't think my kids will notice.3) The thermometer is in Celsius without any way to change it to Fahrenheit. This was almost a deal breaker. No one on my side of the world uses Celsius, so not quite sure what to do about that. I decided the saving grace was the the kids I work with are young enough that most of them don't know the difference. As long as I know how to translate the Celsius numbers into Fahrenheit, I think it will work (google is your friend).4) The cap is in the shape of a nurses hat not a doctor's cap. Again, the age group I work with probably won't know the difference, especially as no nurses wear that shape cap anymore, but I thought it was dated and sexist.5) The apron and hat are made of this plasticky vinyl stuff that will probably crack and break over time. Hopefully the battery operated stuff will last a long time, as I can see no way to replace the batteries.The main reason I decided to keep the set was for the oxygen tank and face mask; an IV stand and bag; and a blood pressure cuff. I had been looking at other cool sets that folded out into a Dr. Tray, complete with working faucet, but did not have a blood pressure cuff (I don't get it, a blood pressure cuff seems to me to be essential Dr. equipment). The reasons I chose to order this over other sets were still valid. This Dr. Kit is pretty much what is described.

Kids have enjoyed the variety of tools it comes with. Comes with a lot. The ‘pill box’ didnt even hold up for a day (its cardboard) but with so many other things its not that big of a deal. The apron is a tad big on my 5 yr old and the nurse headband is way to big with no adjustment options. The pills are very large and are not a swallowing issue for my 1 yr old. The teeth caps for the hippo dont snap in place but doesn’t seem to bother the kids. Only thing i was worried about with my youngest is the thermometer and ear light, seems like with enough force they could be opened which would give kid access to batteries. So i did tape the seams on those two tools just in case.

One of my daughters is a registered nurse, and her husband is a PA; they're a healthcare power couple, and this set was the perfect gift for their 4 year old girl (who, btw, is perfect in every aspect)!She likes to play doctor like Daddy or Nurse like Mommy. Mostly she just likes to play, and twist me around her little finger any time I see her. Her parents like the set too, since it's one more way to keep her occupied and distracted.To keep things interesting and avoid the boredom factor, they rotate the pieces in and out, so she doesn't see all of them at once.I like the price, too; much better than another Lego set, and a nice change of pace. If you have anyone in the medical field in your family, and they have kids -- this is a no-brainer. Great gift!

Our four-year-old loves this doctor/dentist kit and has been having a blast with it. I like that it comes with a container to hold the pieces as there are a lot of them.

Better than I expected! Got a good deal. There's ALOT in a little box. 3moths later has held up to my two boys,ages 3 and 5, whom can be very hard on toys sometimes. The hoses for the BP, IV and Stethoscope pull off a lot but are easy to reattach.

What an incredible value! My daughter cannot stop playing with this! This little kit thinks of everything. It even has a little oxygen tank and an IV! The dentistry tools seems to be my little ones favorite! She is a big fan and all of her dolls have become patients since we opened this. Great for imagination play and lots of tactile fun!
