attractive, well-priced, and they hold my hair!
These French clip hair barrettes (Tortoise Shell Celluloid Rectangle) are labeled "small" and some reviews mention that they are smaller than expected. It's true that the plastic back is shorter than some other clips--about 3 inches instead of maybe 3.5--but the clip itself seems to be very nearly the same size. These are perfect for my fine, thin hair (always been that way but now especially that I'm in my late 60s). They come in various colors and arrived speedily. The packaging was just a thin, small box but the padded envelope protected them and they arrived unbroken. I have purchased a second set.

Very Pretty but a little smaller than expected
These are more of a medium-sized clip, probably not large enough to hold all of the hair in a ponytail unless you have thinning hair, but very good for a portion pulled back. They have held up well.

These are well made. The size is great. I have long hair. They stay in. I wish they had other colors for blondes.

Deceiving
While pretty, this item looked nothing like the picture that attracted me to buy it. Works like any other barrette but is much wider and a different color.

Great Barettes
These are very nice barrettes. I have been using one every day this summer to put my hair up. They are very well made. I was very pleased with this purchase. I have medium thickness hair and one barrette holds it up easily and stays put with no slippage.

I have thicker longer hair and it still works for a half up half down hairstyle. For a ponytail look a bigger one would be encouraged.
