Review by my husband: I picked up this particular model because it has a USB-C port built in, so no adapter required, which is a huge plus. It works perfectly on my two Pixel 3 phones, as well as the Android based devices I use at work. The phones immediately recognized the drive, and you can move files around using the system browser, so no apps needed to install. Similarly, the drive was immediately recognized by all of my PCs (both Windows and Linux) and the transfer from the drive speed was great on the USB 3.0 ports. This makes it very simple to move photos and files between each device without hunting down cables or setting up a Bluetooth connection. This is a great product for someone who has multiple devices to deal with, and I could also see this being used to easily and quickly share full-resolution pictures and videos with parents and friends, especially the technologically disinclined ones... no more emailing, texting, or cloud links!

It broke in about 10 uses , very disappointed in this product.the person where i placed the ordered from said its not a manufacturer defectnitvwas caused by ripping it out of the drive..lol.. what a stupid responce from a seller.. Thanks Dan. As we said, its not a manufacturer's defect. This can occur when a user rips the flash drive out of a device on an angle (up, down, or to the side) and essentially snaps the connector off. I have attached an image of the product where I have just snapped off the connector on an angle from the device to show you its unfortunately an error with use, not via manufacturer's defect. As you can see from the picture I am attaching to this note, it snapped right off when I put pressure on it and pulled it out on an angle. You'll note the image I am sharing looks exactly the same as the one you provided earlier. So in short, we're sorry this happened to you. But as it has been 5 months since purchase (vs. the 30 day guarantee) and it was broken in use, we cant replace or refund.

Item is not uploading my pictures off my smartphone. Not easy to use.

Worked one time. Stored a couple of pc files on ti and set it aside for a month+. Plugged it back in to add more files and windows saya it is not useable. Piece of junk now. Passed return date or it would have gone back.

I received the “CleverDrive” and was immediately impressed by the overall look and quality material used on the device. It’s better looking than the pictures on the listing. After I opened up the USB and inserted the Lightning connector side into my iPhone, it immediately brought up the ability to download the app. Quick download, easy to use. It has different sections for photos, videos, music, and documents. It even allows me to password protect certain photos and files I put on it. And I was finally able to transfer large videos from my wife's phone to mine (as the file was too big to send otherwise) I also enjoy the social media integration. I can literally select a picture, and share directly to my Facebook and Instagram accounts. (Just have to make sure you have the social media app on your phone and its enabled, but that’s just an iPhone setting.)

Didn't work on my Galaxy a10e messed up the charging port

I'm always looking for a way to back up my family's Android phones of all my photos and videos. This little device makes it easy to do just that. Works very similar to Windows where you just copy and paste bundles of files from phone to photo stick. After you insert the photo stick, navigate to your photos, select and copy them, and then paste them to the USB (photo stick) folder. And then I like to further back them up on my PC where I store everything. So I can take the photo stick and insert it into my PC, and then drag and drop everything. Easy for anyone to do.

Most of us in our family are Android phone users and collectively use up a lot of storage, especially for photos and videos. This device has been fantastic for freeing up space on our kids phones, and transferring those photos and files that we backed up onto our PCs. We basically just put the USB into our phone, wait for it to show it recognizes the USB, and then navigate to the photos you have on your phone, and then select, and then choose to transfer them onto the USB storage device. They have a quickstart guide online that shows how to do it so once we checked that out it was pretty simple.

Despite the flowery write up...It doesn't work...Doesn't do what it's supposed to and is pretty much useless and bin fodder. Don't waste your money. It's such a nightmare to return stuff to Amazon, I can't be bothered.

Stopped working 1 day after the return window on Amazon closed! Was good for about 4 uses then just stopped transferring anything from any iphone. Even though it wasn't full, tried clearing everything on it and still wouldn't transfer anything. Also the app is crap - if you save straight to the device, you have to do it through the app and you lose ALL of your camera functions. The app does not give you any camera functions - ie. zoom. Would not buy this again and would not recommend. Will go and find something decent.

This product won't fit into my Samsung Galaxy 10 even though the notes on the product says it does. Very disappointing. The instruction video was not helpful. I therefore have no option to return to the product as I cannot use it.
