Excellent!
I absolutely love all of the Self-Talk guidebooks by Shad Helmstetter! Whenever I read one, I always find good information in it that is helpful to me in my personal journey, and especially now, since I'm struggling with anxiety and depression. I'm probably going to read this book again, in the future, because I found it very encouraging.

Perfect Timing!
"What To Say When You Talk To Your Self" has always been my favorite book by this author. When I saw this one, I hoped Dr. Helmstetter's words would help me with all the stress the world is facing right now--the pandemic, financial uncertainty and unemployment, and racial unrest. I got so much more. Not too far into this short read, I was deep into understanding my own personal stress/anxiety-producing moments. However, this time I had a deeper understanding of not just how to survive them, but also how to thrive. I know I am in charge of what happens next. I'd say it is a definite must read. And if you're not yet acquainted with the power of self-talk, this will be a good place to start.

Not for everybody
Considering some of us take meds to help normalize our thinking, it is my opinion that this self talk would be helpful only on non medicated brains. I can't answer that without the data and trials, right?

Repetitive content
The book is too simple and the context is similar to the negative self talk book . At best , this is worth $5.

A Book That Really Makes You Think
This book is a good read. It really goes into detail about how self-talk programs a person to make the right or wrong choices in their life! I did not even realize how much I was influenced by others opinions of me and their programming of me.
